We stayed at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre for the second time for another weekend stay in Toronto. Again, parking was not convenient or great in the "official" garage, which is the convention center parking (~$30 CAD/night), and was worsened by the construction going on in the garage. Yes, you can valet, but I don't think it's worth the extra cost....

Here for a large conference held at the Convention Centre North, the hotel is a short walk from Union Station. The hotel is reasonably modern, with a large lobby, quick check-in and experienced staff. I was able to get my room earlier in the day which allowed me to drop my bags off and get to the conference. The rooms...

Imagine arriving at 11:30 at night expecting to go up to bed and instead finding out that the hotel room that you had pre-paid in full for and you had notified the hotel of your late arrival, had been given to another guest..... not impressed. I was booked in a king bed suite and their "let's make it up to...

My husband and I were able to check in early at 11am which was so convenient as we were seeing the Jays play at 1! We walked to the Rogers Centre in 5 min. Check in was a breeze and they even upgraded our room to a higher floor and the view was incredible! We had a view of the...

we loved this hotel for the location, the very friendly staff and the hotel itself was very nice. However, choosing a hotel with a hot tub was very important to us and it wasn't hot, or even warm! The furniture is very nice, the bed was very comfortable, but the plugs to recharge our phones were in inconvenient locations. Would...

This hotel was great. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was extremely spacious and had great views over Toronto. Bed was comfortable, room was nicely furnished, bathroom quite modern and spacious. Overall very happy with our stay. Restaurant however was overpriced, so would eat elsewhere.

Loved this hotel! The layout is very open and bright. Modern design, great staff, central location right next to Rogers Center and Steam Whistle Brewery. The rooms were roomy and clean. The restaurant/bar is amazing, great food and atmosphere.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
