The good: great location, got upgraded to a cool studio suite with floor to ceiling windows and remote controlled blinds. Staff were very friendly. The attendant at the make-shift club lounge even offered to get our valet car retrieved for us. Wifi worked well and free. Rooms had nice marble lined bathroom with backlit mirrors. Nice artwork in the rooms....

It was a much needed long weekend away for just the Ladies. The staff was amazing at the hotel, very helpful. We were close to many different restaurants so selection was not an issue. The theatre and shopping were both in walking distance. Transit was close by too. We had no issues or complaints. Can't wait for our next trip.

This was a fantastic place to stay. Great location, clean and airy rooms, comfortable bed, decent rate. The club lounge is under construction, so they have it temporarily located in the back of the restaurant overlooking the baseball field. What a wonderful spot to watch the game! The only negative experience I had was with the club attendant- perhaps I...

Stayed here for 4 nights April 2015, whilst passing thru Toronto. Its a good reliable hotel with the novelty factor of bar and some rooms overlooking the baseball diamond (sadly no games on whilst we were there). Rooms and corridors are a little tired looking and could do with some brightening up (esp corridors). Pool was good, larger than most...

For a "Category 7" hotel, and as a loyal Marriott member, I was expecting my first visit to this location to be exceptional. It started with nearly a 5 minute wait for the valet to arrive. Once he did there was no offer to help with my bags. Staying for two days with business functions I had a suitcase, a...

My fourth recent stay at this fab downtown Toronto hotel and I can truly say that if it is superb customer service you seek, you need look no further. The staff here are second to none. They go out of your way to feel welcome with smiles and hellos at every turn. The rooms are spacious, spotless and comfy. Well...

A quick one night visit. We were initially given a twin bedded room on the first floor overlooking railway lines. I was concerned at the prospect of noise so we asked Irina on reception for a change. We were then given a room on the 8th floor and whilst this room overlooked the railway lines, it was a delightful and...

I had a great, but too short, stay at this hotel. The service was excellent. As I pulled up the valet offered me 2 options (self park for $25 or valet for $35) which I though was very reasonable considering you're connected to the Rogers centre! As a Marriott gold member, I was upgraded to a great suite overlooking the...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
