Our reservation got mixed up but the front staff made it right and helped us check in at a walk in rate. The room although small was clean and was fine for the one night stay. The bathroom was spacious and includes amenities. I would stay again. The staff definitely made the night more enjoyable by helping us because of...

My wife and I are staying at the Renaissance while we are in the city for some final Christmas shopping at the Distillery and Eaton Centre. The hotel is in a great location by the CN Tower and Ripleys and only a 20 minute walk from The Eaton Centre. The staff have been great! we were upgraded to a really...

The main attraction of the hotel is the view on the Rogers Center baseball stadium. Maybe if your lucky ! I stayed there 6 nights, didn't see the light, didn't see any game. Other side of the hotel is just above the train tracks, pretty noisy. Cleanliness of the room is below average, dirt present at the beginning of stay...

Everyone needs to experience watching a game from their room. It's the only hotel of its kind. We have stayed several times and booked the king suite and bilevel. It really is a bucket list 'to do'. If you want to experience the game in the stadium then just walk out the lobby door and you are there. Nice little...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! It was off-season for the Blue Jays so we were offered a stadium view room which was very large and well-appointed. The beds were super comfortable, the amenities were nice, and it was very convenient having a restaurant and Starbucks located on premises. Take advantage of the breakfast buffet if that's your...

Stayed at this hotel for Grey Cup weekend. We had a lovely room with a separate sitting area that you could close of from the bedroom. The washroom was huge. The property and rooms are well maintained and close to a lot of Toronto attractions.

We stayed here whilst attending the Building Show. Check in was very quick. Desk staff very friendly. The room was very nice but a few cons first; Our reservation said a King room, and we expected a King bed but it had 2 doubles. The climate control vent in the room was quite noisy and i found it hard to...

Stayed one night mid week for a work trip. Room was clean, faced the tracks. Bed is comfortable. Was easy to get around. Friendly helpful staff. Looking to come back in the future. Only draw back, walls a bit thin.

We were visiting Toronto for the 2017 WWE Survivor Series event and chose to stay at the Renaissance Hotel because my boyfriend had stayed at the hotel previously on a trip with his family, and we knew that it was within walking distance of the Air Canada Centre (where the event was being held) and many restaurants and other tourist...

We stayed at this hotel and attended a Toronto blue Jays vs Cleveland Indians game...the Indians won! This hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly. The location was extremely convenient! There was a lounge inside the hotel where you could look out onto the field from the windows. This hotel is unique and was well worth the money we...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
