This is our third time watching monster jam from the room and we love it. We have three kids and they love the freedom to move around the room or watch the show! The pool is great too! And you can't beat the location.

We've stayed here several times and always enjoyed it. Of course, very convenient for Jays games, but also for theatre and restaurants. The rooms are large, modern, quiet and clean. The restaurant is good and the health club very good. Overall a good choice if you are staying in the entertainment district.

I'm on the tenth floor this year. A good choice considering the GO train traffic down below outside my windows. The Renaissance is a very convenient place to stay in the downtown core and is close to the Metro Convention Centre, the site of my current business. My room is large, clean, comfortable furnishings and has an adjustable thermostat. It's...

The entire check-in process was easy. The room was very spacious, newly renovated and the beds are like sleeping in a cloud. Room Service was very timely, and the food was great and served piping hot. Arriba has a fantastic breakfast buffet that offers a great selection for everyone. I love the fact that when I walk into this Hotel,...

I was there 2 weeks ago for a business trip, the hotel staff were nice and the location was fantastic. I do find they need to modernized the decor, I got a complementary upgrade to a suite however the bathroom was like in the 80s. Bright white light with a 80s bathtub. The room itself is nice, the bed was...

The room and location were amazing. Loved that I could look into the Stadium from the hotel restaurant. Really enjoyed that the hotel was centrally located. Especially because I was able to walk to both the CN tower and Steam Whistle Brewery.

We wanted a place in the middle of everything, kinda park the car until it's time to leave, the Renaissance was perfect. The room was clean! Which is a huge deal for me. The staff was friendly and made check in/out fast and easy.

Good spot for location in downtown. Neat rooms overlooking the stadium. On the train side it was a bit louder than one would like but not bad. Nice to have STARBUCKS in lobby. Good food at the Terrace bar. Had an Arriba sandwich and would eat that again. Good strong wifi in the room

The Location is amazing, like others have said there are many things within walking distance. At the time we stayed the hotel was very quiet. The hotel lobby and elevator itself was clean, and the staff was very nice. The room itself was very lack luster. We stayed in a normal room, not looking into the stadium. It was smaller...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
