I have been traveling all over the world for work for over 22 years, this is one of my favorite Hotels!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Jennifer is one of the operators of the Hotel was very friendly and even gave me some Netflix suggestion for me to watch!! The rooms are spacious and spotless!! I would like to give a special recognition to an employee that really made me feel at home the last time I spent six days in this hotel. His name is Julian Restrepo. I have never experienced a level of service amicability and compassion from anyone like I received from him. Unfortunately, while staying at the Marriott City Centre I fell Ill. Julian made me feel like I had a family member taking care of me!! He brought me oranges and special Colombian cookies he bought in a Colombian store on his way to work. He called me everyday to see how I was feeling and had a genuine concern for my well being!! I hope the hotel knows what type of employee Julian is and makes sure that Julian never leaves the Marriott brand.

I stayed here from December 25 to 27 in room 839 and before booking I called to make sure the hot tub in the pool area was working and I was told over the phone that yes it was operational. I arrived and was told that no in fact the hot tub does not work... When my kid and myself checked out in the 27 we forgot a few items (which we realized at the airport) - I called the hotel to advise them to please hold them and I would arrange to have them picked up. The person on the line said they would call me back and never did - I had to call back and when I did, I was told that no Housekeeping says they found nothing when I know for a fact I left it in the room and they said nothing they could do and goodbye... so unprofessional and will never again stay at a marriott ever again... croocks

Response from Michael Jensen, Other at Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel

Dear JoseE1110, Our apologies for the miscommunication around the hot tub, we had just closed it that week with the rise in case numbers of the Covid-19 virus and on recommendations from public health. I can understand how frustrated you must have felt knowing you left something in the room and to be told it was not there. I will be investigating further to ensure our team did everything they could to find your missing items and to review our procedures so that this does not happen in the future. I hope that should your travels bring you back to Toronto that you give us another opportunity to show you we are capable of providing an excellent stay. regards Michael

good value for downtown, lots within walking distance. We had a king bed large studio and the room was big with a couch and a chair for visiting. It was on the 1st floor and almost as far from the elevators as could be possible, not a great view. The room was clean and the front staff was very accommodating. It is a short walk (<10min) from union station which is the best way to get here from the airport. The only restaurant is the Sports bar that overlooks the ball park, very informal. It would be nice if they had another dining option, not sure if they even have room service, but there are a lot within walking distance. It is steps from the CN tower and aquarium. The Bed was comfortable and the TV and Wi-fi were good. Good place to stay if you are on foot and would like to spend some time in the room as we did visiting our daughter. The room was bigger than her apartment downtown.

Room Tip: large king suite is nice, but try and get a higher floor. Corridors are long and winding.

I wish to thank the Front Desk staff for their kindness and efficiency. We had a beautiful room with a view of The Labrynth park - pretty at night. Thanks also to the bar and kitchen staff who made our breakfast a great experience! A convenient hotel to stay while visiting the Eaton Centre

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting our daughter in Toronto. This was our first travel since Covid and was somewhat unsure about staying in a hotel. Our stay here swept away any concerns! Stayed in a king city view and the room was very clean, comfortable and large. There was information in the room to let you know what extra steps they were taking in cleaning rooms. There was no daily housekeeping but you could call reception at any time if you needed anything. We had ample towels, coffee, plastic cups, toilet paper, kleenex etc and never needed for anything. Housekeeping was servicing an empty room a few doors from us when we arrived and gave us extra bottles of water in case we needed them. The bathroom was large, super shower and sparkling clean. We has a breakfast package and our waiter Alex, was phenomenal! He was friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The first morning I had asked for a glass of skim milk which the hotel restaurant was out of that morning. There's a Starbucks in the hotel so he went there to get me a glass and the other mornings would let me know the hotel restaurant had it if I wanted some. He was so pleasant and a great start to our day. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Billy Bishop Airport and is surrounded by restaurants and attractions and of course the Blue Jay games. Staff we came in contact with were all friendly and helpful. This will be our hotel any time we stay in Toronto.
