Hotel Victoria is a beautiful boutique hotel located in close proximity to major attractions in Toronto. We were in town for 24 hours, so we wanted to cram in as much sight seeing as possible. We arrived somewhat late after viewing both the US and Canadian sides of Niagara Falls. It was too late to do a tour of the...

Hotel Victoria is located near Younge and Wellington, a great location. Stayed with a colleague yesterday night and almost froze. He and I had rooms 303 and 308 respectively. We both found our rooms to be extremely cold - the rooms have wall mounted aircon units. Setting my unit to warm and the fan on high didn't do anything besides...

ERJoseph, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience from this past week. I am sorry to read that you did not get a good nights sleep due to temperature and noise. I did not see anything in our logs indicating you had called down to inquire about the heat. Please always know that we are here to...

Tiny tiny rooms not enough room to walk around. Fair pricing however and close walk to air canada centre. Good bar scene back from acc. The parking offered to us was 40 bucks and a 15 minute walk to the hotel. Staff were not overly friendly. Probably wouldn't return

Cannot beat the location of this hotel. We enjoyed having the breakfast and lunch restaurant available on site. Room was small but the washroom was roomy. Pillows a bit too puffy but bed was comfy. Phone was not charged and handset did not work, trick was to use it on speaker. Front staff very friendly and helpful. All in all...

Xcountry23, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the world. Sounds like, for the most part, you enjoyed your time with us and I want to thank you for sharing that. With regards to the phone, a totally avoidable oversight on our part which we should have recognized when servicing the room. I am sorry for...

The location is awesome, Over Easy is a great breakfast place and the room was nice enough. The mattress was a bit old and saggy and the laminate floors squeaked with every step but it served its purpose without being overly flashy. What it lacks in amenities it makes up for in old fashioned charm. It was very noisy outside,...

Christine S, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. It sounds as though you had a "mixed bag" of a stay. We all appreciate this type of feedback I will look into some of the items mentioned.....including getting the reception agents something to do! We are glad Santa did not put a damper on your visit and...

Hotel Victoria has a real boutique feel and is very centrally located in Toronto. The rooms are well furnished if small, and my only complaint is that the tiny shelf over the sink is not big enough to hold much- I had to leave most of my toiletries in my suitcase. The bed was very comfortable. Accessing Netflix on the...

KaitxK, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of your stay with us. While our rooms are comfortable, as you note, most are on the cozy side. We were built at a very different time in history (1909) when the size of many things did measure up to what is today. The Netflix offered, while not the...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
