Stayed here in the beginning of November this year. My husband booked online and booked a larger room. When we arrived, the valet parking was a bit tricky as Bloor Street is a very busy street and getting the car dropped off wasn't that easy. Saying that, we were greeted by some very friendly staff and they took care of...

This was my second stay at the Intercontinental Yorkville, having previously stayed in November 2014. As I said before, I probably would not have normally chosen this hotel as it is a little farther north from where I prefer to stay in Toronto but it is in a nice area of Bloor Street near the high-end shopping district. The staff...

This is a lovely hotel, but it has happened on three occasions now that we booked a particular rate, but were overcharged at check-out. The overcharge was reimbursed after several phone calls the first two times, but after our last stay in November, management failed to honour the rate that was originally booked. So, watch your invoice when you check...

I stayed here for a weeding in November. I've stayed here on business for 20 years on and off. The location cast be beat. Right in the heart of Toronto's best high end shopping and right across from the very worthwhile Royal Ontario Museum. As usual the staff was accommodating and the concierge was as well. Rooms are a generous...

I was welcomed with a smile, given a room with a view onto Bloor St., with the ROM to my left, the CN Tower directly in front and the Telus Centre for Performance and Learning to my right. And, no, it wasn't noisy despite overlooking such a busy street. Bonus: the window opened at the bottom. Free wifi. But, still...

We requested a quiet room by email and then at the Front Desk, and were assured that this was what we were getting. But at 9pm the so-called 'music' began - a monotonous bass at full volume accompanied us, vibrating our room until after 2.30am. Numerous calls to the Front Desk were met with "it's out of our control". It...

Another example of an overpriced hotel, surviving on passed glory. The restaurant is stark and lacking in character and the rooms really need an update. It is well located and the staff are friendly but the name and the price really requires a higher level of facility.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
