I travelled to Toronto for leisure purpose. I booked this hotel because of its low rate along with the earning of frequent travel miles. It is very close to Toronto Zoo. However, it is very far from Toronto International Airport and downtown area. You have to know your way on Hwy 401 and Hwy 404, otherwise you are dealing with... More

The room had obviously been used as the pillows were moved and the bed had been laid on. There was garbage from a previous guest in the garbage can. Your file on hotel, com says you are dog friendly, but charged $40 for a 4 lb dog. The people who came to clean up didnot speak English and didn't know what... More

My husband and I spent 5 days at the hotel to visit family. The carpet is filthy upstairs, downstairs and in the room. The bathroom had black mold on the tiles, dingy worn towels, wash cloths and the bathroom needed cleaning. The hotel side door is left open and there are people hanging out in the parking lot. The breakfast... More

My wife and I made a three night reservation through Priceline. Upon arriving, there was no one manning the desk; we had to dial a phone to call the attendant. We checked in, no problem. Upon opening up the room, we were blasted with a very musty odor, the kind that smells of mold and exterminator. The security lock on... More

Staying in Scarborough

Neighbourhood Profile
Situated astride Lake Ontario, Scarborough is a district heavily influenced by immigration. With a number of low-rent shopping and dining options making it a highly affordable part of town, and boasting one of Toronto's largest shopping malls, the otherwise green suburban neighborhood is a good place to go for bargains and discounts. It also draws in photographers. The spires, archways, and cavernous rooms of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Palace are filled with breathtaking art, architecture, and detailed reliefs – it’s like entering a different world, The ruins of columns and installation art at the Guild Inn makes a free-for-all exploration site, while the big-name draw for young photographers is the menagerie at the Toronto Zoo. While many visitors shirk Scarborough as too suburban, its houses are some of Toronto's most mystical and haunting architectural beauties. And for adventure lovers, it has river-rafting and some unique hiking trails.
