We liked our stay at the HIlton Garden a week ago. The staff was nice, rooms were clean. My only complaint is the breakfast service. We had a couple of regular of buffets and a couple of hot breakfast. After ordering our food for the hot breakfast we were given numbers to place on our table. The servers now collect...

I felt it was difficult to rate this hotel as the hotel itself, despite being in a slightly less desirable location, in itself was decent and I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent with a good amount of space and facilities. There is laundry which was useful and the room had a microwave, iron and...

This was our second stay at the Garden Inn. We requested a quiet room and we were satisfied with the room given to us, although there was a connecting room through which you could hear people's conversations (fortunately we had good neighbours). The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable (adjustable firmness). We liked having a Keurig...

At first we thought it was a great location - short walk to the Rogers Centre to catch a Jays game. Not so happy when the 4 of us got back to the room after the game and discovered the nightclub next door was having an outdoor patio event. Room was on 4th floor and the music and DJ noise...

Nice quiet hotel with helpful staff, centrally located near downtown Toronto and reasonably priced. The only negative thing was the breakfast buffet at the hotel was $16.95ea which is outrageous! Just head 10 minutes outside the hotel in any direction to save some cash. The pool is ok, nothing special and the whirlpool only fits 4 people.

Came to go to ball games. Only complaint was noise from neighbouring night club Saturday night but not the end of the world. Hotel rooms, restaurant, staff, parking attendants first rate. Walking distance of everything we wanted to see from Eaton Centre to Hockey Hall of Fame.

Stayed with my family of four for a night in July. Easy commute to a Jays game, the Eaton centre, Dundas square. We had a nice room on the sixteenth floor with a view of the CN tower. The bed was comfortable. The lobby is rather small for a large city hotel. The hotel location is excellent being only a short block off King Street.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
