What a beautiful place! Tom and Dorothy are wonderful hosts, and the manor is beautiful and inviting. We were served a fabulous breakfast after a comfortable night's sleep. Fort William and Kekabeka Falls are a short drive away, and there are many great eating establishments within walking distance. We will stay here again whenever we are in Thunder Bay.

If you are looking for a quality b n b in the Thunder Bay Area, this is the place. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous yard. Delicious breakfast. I would recommend the rooms with a private bath if it is in your budget. Off street parking and easy walk to multiple nice restaurants are additional perks. Our hostess for the couple days we...

Take a good part of one day to explore McVicar Manor that is filled with real wood furniture, has hardwood floors and sits on a large property beside a fast-running creek. To get to the Creekside room you would have to be a ghost to climb the stairs without a sound. Good lamp and overhead reading light. Good mirrors. Comfortable...

The innkeepers here are personable, informative and know how to run an inn. Their attention to detail is extraordinary - nothing was overlooked. The inn, built in the 1800s by a wealthy coal magnate, has been lovingly maintained. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with all the little niceties provided. I only wish that we were able to spend more...

We were doing the circle trip. We seen this on trip advisor. It was all it was booked to be. Very nice. Clean. Modern but charming. Thank you Dorothy and Tom for a wonderful stay. We will be back. And also within walking distance of restaurants and downtown. You won't be sorry.

McVicar Manor is one of those special B&Bs and we loved our experience there. The attention to detail in the gardens and house were beautiful. The block is so large, apparently it has its own postcode! We stayed for two nights so we could explorer around Thunder Bay. Our hosts, Dorothy and Tom, called us Warrior Tourists because we did...

We loved everything about McVicar Manor. Stayed in the Manor Room, which was stunning. Everything was really top quality. Good location, a short walk from various restaurants and bars. Breakfast was delicious, and our hosts were really warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

As I age, I care more about the kind of service I receive, just as much as the product I purchase. It's always a delight to find both together, as I did with the McVicar Manor. I loved the rooms and gardens around the Manor - they're beautiful and well maintained. The breakfasts were well thought out, with food preferences...

This B&B is a gem and you should make sure to book ahead as the cat is out of the bag! A little bit of old world charm is much to be desired in this overly-technological world. You still get wi-fi; but you can step back a century and enjoy the gracious living of fine furniture, excellent company of like-minded...

“I am sure that the rooms with baths are the best, especially the turret room. We shared a bathroom and that was just fine.”

“The Manor Room is sunnier due to the number of windows. The McVicor Room is darker (great for sleeping a little later) but has a wonderful balcony overlooking the gardens. Just to keep in mind as this time of year (June) it is light until after 10 PM and the sun comes up around 5 AM.”
