While a couple of miles from downtown, the Swan Motel is very accessible to the festival. Our room was well-lit, comfortable and very well taken care of. The Wi-Fi worked well. Coffee and muffins in the morning were welcome, but the in-room fridge also gave us the opportunity to expand our breakfast. Parking is right outside your room. The Swan... More

What a wonderful place to relax between performances during the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. We stayed at The Swan in July at the recommendation of an aunt & uncle who live in Waterdown, Ontario. The grounds are beautifully planted and maintained providing space and privacy to enjoy an afternoon outdoors in deep shade... a welcome relief in Stratford's temperatures this past... More

It's not a spiffy B&B, but we will definitely go back. Simple, clean, great coffee and muffins in the morning. A nice garden area to read and chat. Close to town and less expensive. Great value. Family owned and run for decades. Thumbs up.

We were only there for 1 night. The rooms were the quality of a 4 star hotel. Comfortable beds. Fridge. Large screen TV. Working wifi. And very clean. Very nice grounds. Very friendly hosts. Not what you would expect from a motel. Would definitely stay there again should the need arise.

Just the best time - love coffee and muffins in the morning chatting with Colleen and other theater goers about the plays they've seen. Great location with gardens and pool (too cold this time of year). Easy 5-10 minute drive into town center. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our short stay in this motel. It was clean, the grounds were beautiful with flowers and trees and a gazebo. There is a pool but it wasn't warm enough for us to go in, due to the chillier weather. The cab ride to downtown was short... Only took a few mins. I would highly recommend staying here!

What a treat to find a delightful motel close to Stratford, Ontario (a five minute drive) that was quiet, clean and lovely! The Swan Motel is located on Downie Street, a straight shot from the Avon Theatre. The grounds include lovely gardens with delightful places to relax -- lounge chairs, outdoor tables and a pretty gazebo. Although it was too... More

First time there and would definitely go back. Great location, friendly folks, and nice rooms. The morning muffins are worth going there also! You would not be dissapointed of you stayed there. The city is quite nice with many activities and restaurants.

Super clean as always, wonderfully consistent year after year, the Swan is a location that will quickly become your favourite! Great price includes wifi, beautiful grounds and lovely outdoor pool, fresh muffins and coffee! Our hosts always give great advice, whether it be theatre, restaurants, or a much needed auto repair shop recommendation! Thanks again, L&D

What a wonderful place to stay. Extremely friendly owners and staff. Great pool and grounds are well taken care of. The rooms are spacious, very well kept and impeccably clean. It truly is a gem quietly nestled in the heart of Stratford.

“This is a 1960s style single-level motel. Rooms furthest from the office are most quiet, but all are quiet due to the rural location.”
