Beware of the owner and her un-professional practices. I made the booking through Airbnb months ago. Paula tried to Bait and Switch me by offering the room at a certain rate only to try to change at the last minute. At first she tried to change my room for a more expensive one and when I declined she just cancelled,...

In september 2015 my boyfriend Mathias and I stayed 1 night at this B&B. We really don't have any complaints about this place: friendly hostess with a very lovely dog named Barbarella, great location to visit Ottawa and an delicious breakfast. Our room was quite small, but we loved it. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Arrived 4pm Sat. Took forever to get in the door, no bell, just a door banger that says 'bang loud' .... seriously! The poor guy in the front room eventually let us in and pointed to the back room door. Looked like he had to do that a LOT. Felt completely uncomfortable knocking, then someone yelled 'come in'. Frazzled woman...

The room was great. Comfortable bed, sitting out on the balcony eating a fantastic home cooking breakfast, what could be better. The hospitality was great. All in all a great hotel. Only down side was no en-suite but the bathroom was next door do didn't cause any problem at all. Totally recommend.

A wonderful HQ for visiting ottawa. Close to university, downtown, the market and just about anywhere you want to be. Paula was an excellent hostess and she and her staff made my stay easy and enjoyable. Breakfasts were delicious and the rooms well-kept. I will definitely be staying here again.

She told us not to book on Expedia even though the price was a lot lower than what she told us it was. She proceeded to tell us that the price was an error and that it was a lot more. The bed was big and comfy but the bathroom was far away. We would not recommend this to stay...

Double bookings do happen very rarely. We are required to relocate guests as most of our bookings come from booking websites. We avoid double bookings for the inconvenience to our guests and the inconvenience to ourselves and the costs. You are required to not only relocate guest but also pay the difference and the taxis to the hotel they were...

The building was heritage, but the restoration lacking. The bathroom (shared) had missing floor tiles, mould and peeling ceiling paint. Our room was not wide enough to properly accommodate a Queen size bed. The gap over the screen door rendered the screen door useless. The octopus of wires invited a fire. Our 3 day stay did not seem to include...

Stayed here and left at 3am for a flight so didn't get full experience, however breakfast is delivered to your room which is cool. Surrounding area not the best but onpy.2 block walk from the 97 bus stop and maybe 3 to Nordstrom too. Pillows were very poor but bed comfy.

This a charming B and B about 10 minutes on foot from the Byward Market in the heart of the Ottawa U district. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. In room tea/coffee maker and bottled water was a nice detail. The breakfast provided in room between 7 and 10 am is very good. These are all great things....

“Location great. Five minute walk to Parliament buildings,Market Place. Parking poor. One block away for access, poorly kept space,6 inch pool of water around car.. Breakfast poor. Make you're own. Spartan choices. Shared bathroom. Room beside bathroom. Heard everyone through walls. Everything was clean. Tired old building.”
