We enjoyed our stay in the hotel/inn. Quiet neighbourhood, very clean room, very friendly staff, good location.Definitely has a character. I will recommend this hotel but probably it's not good idea for families with kids

My wife and i recently stayed in egyptian suite. We thoroughly enjoyed the room. They have a lot of character and a lot of interesting antiques everywhere. My only gripe is i found the mattress extremely firm compared to one in the victorian suite . The breakfast they serve in the morning is so wonderful and easily my favorite part...

I loved the room and the breakfast service, but there was some lack of responsiveness to something that needed immediate attention that prevents a 5/5 rating. First, the room was very comfortable and clean and neat. The bathroom was adequate in every way. The breakfasts were enjoyable with fantastic servers. I had the same breakfast both days because I enjoyed...

This historic house should be a lot better than it is.It is ideally located for exploring downtown by foot and the house has an interesting story. However the pluses stop there. The place seems almost totally run by young employees and it is very difficult to meet any of the four owners who profess to want to eagerly interact with...

I will only address your complaint about our employees. There is an Inn owner on the premises every day from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm. After a 10 hour day we do have evening managers take over. These are University students that are very capable of checking-in a guest.

We got room 11 just off the dining room on the main floor. It has a large window facing the street but I still found it nice & quiet in the evening. We are near the university so most of the houses on this street are rooming houses & student residences. Our side tables on either side of the bed...

We stayed in the Egyptian Room on the first floor. Pros - two shower heads, soap and shower dispenser, jacuzzi and fireplace, 2 bathrobes, A/C, free Wifi, beautiful themed room with nicknacks, Kerig coffee machine in the parlour. Cons-being on the first floor which is beside the office, parlour and kitchen so you tend to hear bangs and footsteps, also...

Clean. Close to tourist spots and transit. Nice decor, breakfast (order the apple and brie crepes) and service. Not so good side: bathroom outside room and our room is near office and dining area therefore less privacy and at times pretty noisy. However, we did pay less.

We stayed for just a night at McGee's Inn and thought it was a good choice for anyone wanting to pay very reasonable prices to stay within walking distance of most of Ottawa's attractions. Our room was a twin room (room ?) which was stylishly decorated and equipped with everything you could need. The bathroom perhaps could have been a...

Best place to be on Canada Day. Good people, great location. Awesome atmosphere. Rates are perfectly priced. The staff is very nice and always available for you. Very close to downtown (market). You can see fireworks from the corner if you don't want to go to far.

What can I say, I don't know why you would want to stay at a hotel when you can stay at a place like this. Great rooms! Great hosts! Getting to enjoy a delicious breakfast on the patio out front is a great way to start the day. Very close to the market, walking distance to everything. I will be...
