We arrived the last day of June and were pleased with how quickly we were given directions to our site and how pleasant the office staff were. We chose to camp rather than book a pricy hotel for the long weekend. The campground was easy to find and close to many stores, hiking trails and the Eaglson Park and Ride....

We're on a year-long trek across North America in our rv. So far, this campground is at the top of our favorites list. Great site: very roomy, secluded, and surrounded by beautiful trees and ferns. Nice hiking and biking close by and also convenient to grocery shopping.

We decided to go camping last minute, but all the Provincial parks were already booked. So we decided to try this campground as it was really close to our house. All in all it was a nice stay. It is comparable to the Provincial parks, but not as large, and does lack activities for he kids. There is no lake...

On the final leg of a camping trip from Winnipeg to Quebec we were looking for camping in the Ottawa area and found the Ottawa Municipal Camp Ground on a quick net search...what a great discovery. Clean, private, easy on off to the highway and downtown...inexpensive. Having camped at a mix of Federal, Provincial, Municipal and private campgrounds over the...

I had the misfortune to be a guest at this campsite whilst visiting my in-laws about two weeks ago. July 2012. We have just moved from Ireland to live in Ottawa. My in-laws were helping us with our big move. What should have been a nicer experience for all of us was marred greatly by the staff of this campsite....

As usual when preparing for an outing with my familly...i consulted trip advisor and what a read about this place made me nervous. we decided to go anyways...because the main thing evryone was complaining about was the staff,...

If you have not yet visited the Ottawa Municipal Campground you have a wonderful treat in store! The facility itself is absolutely first class, akin to our better provincial partks. Facilities are modern and spotless. Security is first class, friendly and very helpful. Most importantly, the manager (Don) and his wife (Jackie) are true Hall of Famers. That is literally...

It's strange... for the past 4 thanksgivings and May-24 weekends we have camped here with 2 friends of ours and had no problems. I called today to book and was told that we would need to purchase 2 campsites because we have 2 separate accommodations (they have a pop-up trailer and we use a tent). I tried to explain that...

Ear wig infested, literally thousands crawling on the ground which only further multiply at night. Tons of mosquitoes, insufficient washroom facilities...only two stalls & one shower for all those tent sites! Made to feel like we were being watched...staff kept driving by every 20 minutes and would just stop by the side of the road near site for no apparent...

Great campground, close to everything. Older man in golf cart very rude to my kids when they visited. Been to the campground several times because of the ease and relative closeness. Not wise to bring guests. Agree with all other reviewers, they don't like guests. Also had my dad harassed when he stopped in for 15 min. They came to...
