If you're faint of heart, the last 200m of road are a single lane gravel road on the side of an embankment. If you have ANY sense of adventure, you'll make your way to this mountain home and have the time of your life! Greeted immediately by Valerio, we registered and met the proprietor, Valeria who was gracious and accommodating....

Absolutely lovely and enchanting residence in the hills near Spoleto. The building (Eremo) has been originally built in the 1500s and later on many times restructured. The Eremo was visited by Michelangelo, many important popes and cardinals. At present, has been adapted as a hotel with many comforts. It has a pool, nice restaurant and other amenities. The decoration, furniture,...

Spoleto is a quaint little town in Umbria. After a pleasant train ride up to town, we were warmly greeted by a taxi man who took us through town and up the windy hills to the Eremo delle Grazie hotel. Recommended by a friend, I had high expectations and was pleasantly satisfied with the view, warm homey feeling and spectacular...

We have stayed twice at Eremo dele Grazie and look forward to a future stay. Lovely villa high in the hills overlooking the town and valley. The villa is full of antiques and has a restful, old world air. Victoria and the staff are very attentive treating us like family. They serve a great breakfast and dinner if you reserve...

this is a very special place, where the sense of hospitality is still the same as from another era when hospitality was interpreted as a sincere welcome and a natural gracious artform. a 5-10 min drive up the hill overlooking spoleto, nestled in the forest but with breathtaking views from every angle of its terraces, is this little piece of...

My husband and I spent three nights at this lovely old hermitage become hotel. It is up a steep forested hillside with many hairpin turns across from Spoleto with stunning views of the countryside. Our room, actually 3 adjoining spaces were huge gracious and the furniture very antique, the bed comfortable and the bathroom updated and large. It was in...

This hotel is excellent! Offers luxury, space (we had a superior room), very good service and quietness. Every evening a good feeling to return to the hotel. A fine look-forward to the great breakfast the next morning!

We spent four days at the Eremo and loved every minute. It's a bit difficult to find, but so worth the trip up the narrow, twisting road. We were greeted by Professor Lalli and welcomed to our room, which was beautifully furnished. We loved waking to the bright sunshine daily, followed by a lucious breakfast on the balcony overlooking Spoleto....

During our two weeks vacation in Umbria we have been staying at fabulous places throughout, but la Residenza d'Eppoca Eremio delle Grazie was the undisputed highlight. The photos can't do the place real justice. Atmosphere and ambience are just fantastic. Looking down on Spoleto from the patio at dinner from 300 meters above (or from the beautiful swimming-pool) is just...

Ok - it takes a bit of doing to find this place, but anything worthwhile, is worth a bit of trouble and this place is an amazing step back in history that you are not ever going to forget. We stayed in the fra Ginepro room, and were in complete awe when we entered. They have combined three former monks'...

“The cardinal room was great, wonderful views, an ante room painted with grotto frescoes, a room with a couch, and a large bedroom. Good view but you have to open the shutters, and definitely furniture and decor are very antique.”
