The best thing to say is that the owners were very friendly and the location is pretty good. Our booking got lost between the on-line booking agency and the owners, but luckily they still had space. (Make sure you have received an email confirmation directly from the hotel as well as the on-line agency). The room was 'tired', the 'special'...

This is a nice 3 Story Inn.WE found the rooms to be comfortable.Keep in mind this is an old Building. There are no elevators and you can hear water running from other units and the bathrooms are small. No place to put anything. We were on the 3rd floor. It is a hike with all your luggage. The lobby area and the Dinning area are...

We had a decent meal here at an affordable price. The service was average, the clientele were mostly local folks in coffee groups or family settings. It is clean, but in a greasy spoon sort of way, well scrubbed, but rustic, if you know what I mean. The seafood offering of clam strips and fried haddock was good, but a...

Whilst driving toward Pictou, we phoned to see if the Inn had any spare rooms and was advised that there was only the one left, but it was of a higher rate. Room 12 is a very large cornered room located on the second floor, accessed by stairs only. The bed and pillows were comforftable (a blessing considering it was...

This is a very beautiful inn and the owners went out of their way to accommodate us for our business meeting. A special Thank you both the owners for making my visit memorable because they were able to get me a tour of the Ship Hector which I have a family connection to. I can't thank them enough for going...

It is a nice place to stay before taking the ferry across to PEI. In our corner room, we could have the windows open for cross ventilation or use the AC. It's close enough to walk 5 minutes to the harbor for dinner. It would be hard to find except that there is signage directing you as you drive into...

For all of you hippies and wannabes, I do NOT mean funky in a positive way. Funky here comes in two stages: 1) SMELL, and 2) decor. Let me begin by telling you about the smell of the room. It was a combination of wet dog, mildew and I don't know what- perhaps a little "eau de Pictou"! It wasn't...

My husband and I stayed at the Braeside Inn and were so pleased that we did. It is conveniently located near the Quay Hector, which is a must-see stop, even if you don't have any Scottish ancestors. The inn is charming and lovingly cared for. Our room was sparkling clean and comfortable, with the king-size bed decorated with Nova Scotia's...

Very nice and charming. Location is great. Yes, a bit old but it is part of the charm. Very quiet and clean. Breakfast was continental but in a very nice dining room. All I wanted for a short stay. Very near from PEI ferry.
