A charming historic hotel with a lot of character. The room is well updated and the bathroom is modern, yet the furniture and atmosphere is that of a bygone time. Not a cookie-cutter hotel, but well-managed and full of nooks and crannies. Central to downtown Halifax. No elevator so not suitable for people who don't want to use stairs.

We received this stay as a gift from our children for our anniversary and decided to tie it into my wife's birthday. The room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We both enjoyed the shower. All in all a wonderful gift and a lovely stay.

Really enjoyed staying here. The room was big and had a lovely sitting area. So much nicer than a chain hotel. Would most definitely go there again. The breakfast was included. It was in a lovely dining area with lots of choices.

By BF & I stayed for 1 night. Friendly staff, very convenient location...can walk anywhere in the city in 15 minutes. Room was clean & beds very comfortable! Only complaint we have would be the continental breakfast. We went to eat at around 915 and there was no coffee available and the only food options available were bagles, cereal &...

My wife and I stayed at the Halliburton to get a few days of Christmas shopping in Halifax, as we live in Annapolis Valley. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was good, it actually reminded me of hotels I've stayed in Scotland so things are tight but functional. The breakfast was good as well, its like...

A really great experience, with a beautiful room & fantastic six course meal with wine pairings. The staff were an important part of the dinner with table service that was not rushed along with an expert presentation of each course. We definitely recommend a stay at the Halliburton along with dining at Stories. We'll be back again soon!!

Conveniently located in downtown Halifax, this a Boutique Hotel where they make you feel like you are their only guests! We combined our visit with a matinee at Neptune Theater, followed by a superb dinner at the Haliburton Inn. Highly recommended!

We are a group of women (number 14 this year) who have been getting together for a weekend before Christmas for 35 years now. Usually we meet at one of our homes, but this year decided to go to the Halliburton for dinner and overnight - and we were very pleased with our choice. The staff was so helpful in...

For our 29th Wedding Anniversary, we chose Stories/Halliburton Inn. Our meal at Stories was delicious - every course. We had our dessert and coffee in front of the fireplace that had been started by staff in our room - talk about romantic!!!

A nice little Inn; centrally located; great staff, nice breakfast. Good value; you have to go outside to get to dining room if you are not in that building- but it's not a big deal, if you don't mind that. Parking is a little sketchy in the back of the heritage buildings especially if you are driving a larger vehicle....
