My sister and I took a trip to Digby, birthplace of our father to find his original house still standing looking over the beautiful Bay of Fundy. Along the way we were in desperate need of some espresso cappuccino and were delighted to discover Mag Pyes Cafe in Digby. The owners Margaret and Tony also run the most charming B&B...

The pride, love and care that Margaret and Tony have for their 1783 Holdsworth House and the history that precedes them is evident from the second they open the door to welcome you. I loved having a tour of the house and the history lesson about the Holdsworth family. All of the rooms are quaint and lovely. A friend and...

This historic home and the owners who have lovingly restored it, treated my friend and I to a most wonderful experience this weekend. Holdsworth House (1783 ) has been lovingly preserved and really provided a glimpse into Nova Scotia's past. Coming from the much-younger province of Saskatchewan I really appreciate touching bricks and walls from the 1700's! Margaret and Tony,...

It is difficult to sum up this place. On the one hand, Margaret was unbelievably helpful and hospitable. The breakfasts at Mag Pyes were delicious even though some distance away. But other aspects of our stay were decidedly odd: Chester the aged dog in a diaper in front of the fireplace snarling; Tony in his cups; the mobile home where...

Thank you for taking time to review our property. I do recall your stay with us, in June, 2013. We do state on our website that the Holdsworth House is "our home". Tony and I do live in the house, and we also have our evening meals in the kitchen. We are offended by the statement of "Tony in his...

My sister-in-law and I stayed at Holdsworth House B&B on an overnight trip to Digby on November 8,2013. Tony, Margaret and their doggies: Chester, Bumpy and Doc, exceeded all our expectations. We felt welcomed and at home from the moment we arrived. We opted to stay in the Elizabeth Holdsworth room and found it to be clean, comfortable and cozy....

My friend and I had selected the Mabel room and it was too bad that we arrived so late in the evening that we didn't appreciate the view and the owners' hospitality until the next morning. We slept well in our twin beds and everything was clean and comfortable, although with only a clawfoot tub in a quaint bathroom with...

My wife and I stayed here for four nights in August 2013. We had met Margaret and Tony (along with their dogs - I'll upload photos of two of them: Chester and Bumpy) when we were in Digby last year and were absolutely astounded by Margaret's cooking and Tony's great service at their restaurant in Digby - Mag Pyes. Their...

After coming back from a 16-day road trip in July 2013 through Nova Scotia I can only say that these was the nicest place we stayed in. Initially the plan was to spend only one night with Margaret and Tony. However, we enjoyed the house, the breakfast, the hosts and Digby that much that we decided to stay an additional...

We stayed in the Elizabeth room which was comfortable with a nice large bathroom. It's not fancy but it's quaint, historic and reasonably priced. It was nice to experience a bit of history and much more memorable than staying at a typical hotel. Margaret and Tony were friendly and attentive hosts. Because we were leaving on an early ferry in...

I could not have asked for a kinder welcome to Nova Scotia. Margaret made the ferry reservation for me when I booked my room with her, which was a great help as I planned my trip. She and Tony were waiting for me when I arrived, and Margaret gave me a full history and tour of the home that they've...
