This is an older motel that has seen better days, (first stayed here in 2004). Walls are paper thin. Has a general run down look. Noisy fridge. Breakfast not available. Bathtub is tiny. Convenient for the ferry. Reasonable rates. Rate was reduced because no breakfast available.

Family trip to CB - needed a place to stay for one night. The location was perfect, the room was well appointed and clean, but dated, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was an interesting blend of Canadian continental and Asian. There was a brand new large fridge, large flat screen TV and a microwave in the room as well.

We stayed at the Highland Motel for 1 night on the way to NFLD. The staff was very considering as they called me prior my arrival to let me know they will be closed by the time I get there (11pm) and they would left our room unlocked for me. They also left a cute welcoming note and free WiFi...

This place is a little tricky to find, at least for our GPS which could find it by the co-ordinates but not by the address. Anyway it's worth seeking out if for no other reason that the breakfast!! But first the place is certainly dated BUT it's extremely clean. The smallest bathtub we've ever seen, haha, but again very clean....

I stayed here as a stopover before catching the ferry to NFLD. If you have less than 20/20 vision forget about watching TV. It's a 20" flat screen mounted on the opposite wall and is like looking at a cheap desktop monitor. I was shaving in the bathroom in my skivvies and an elderly Asian woman was rummaging around outside...

We were disappointed in this motel. First, you need to put Upper North Sydney in your GPS. The first sign should have been the cobwebs on the door -- not a one day web. There were three beds, but a postage size bathroom. Two people do not fit into the bathroom at one time. It just didn't have a "clean"feel...

The Highland Motel is just above the ferry to Newfoundland so it's convenient. I found it average at best, really just a bed before the ferry. Breakfast didn't start until 8 so I missed it, but I looked in and it looked like cold muffins and so forth.

If you're on a budget and need a place to stay for one night then Highland Motel is good enough. The room is a decent size, it is clean and very close to the highway. It is old decor and the bathroom is old and mouldy. Can't go wrong for one night.

We have booked 3 rooms but was not given adjoining rooms as they don't care much about it. rooms were not very clean and AC was making lot of noise. All 3 rooms bathrooms had issue. 1 room toilet flush was not working. 2nd room shower room tap was faulty. Either you get super hot water or super cold but...

Room was nice for the price. Mini fridge, microwave, WiFi, DIGITAL cable owners are friendly and hospitable; room is nice and clean, Continental breakfast was served. I would definitely recommend this motel to my friends.
