The only place I will stay when visiting Antigonish, from the exceptional service and special touches with the amenities in the rooms and blueberry scones that are so delicious..why stay anywhere else!!
What a pleasant surprise. From the friendly receptionist to our room which far exceeds many hotels we've stayed in. The parking is great. Antigonish is a quaint friendly place to visit. We would definitely stay at the evergreen inn again when we visit Nova Scotia.
This little local motel is located in a quiet area just outside of a residential area. There are only 9 rooms. When we checked in, the lady in the office greeted us warmly and gave us lots of helpful information. Later she helped us with...More
We recently stayed in Antigonish - the Evergreen Inn was a lovely accommodation on the outskirts of Antigonish. The owners were welcoming and we enjoyed breakfast learning about local news direct from the sources! Would recommend.
I have reviewed this property in the past quite favourably. It has changed hands since then. The rooms are still about the same, which is good. But they have instituted a deposit policy that is unusual, and now the prices are very high. Currently close...More

The answer depends on the cancellation policy for that particular reservation. Our normal cancellation policy for anyone booking a room for one or two nights is 48 hours. If a cancellation is received we will try and sell the room and if we are successful, will not charge for the late cancellation. We will charge for a night we cannot fill.
We get reservations for multiple rooms for 1 or 2 weeks and they are made up to a year in advance. For these reservations we require 2 weeks notice and this applies to the entire reservation. The reason being that while holding these rooms, we turn away so many potential guests and at last minute it can be difficult to fill the rooms. Sometimes it may appear that we are charging for a room that was sold to someone else however, I assure you this is not the case. We are a small inn with just 8 rooms and a large, last minute cancellation has a considerable affect on our business. I hope this clarifies things for you. If not, and you feel you were not charged fairly, please call me directly to discuss.
