Beautiful rooms, very clean and extremely comfortable. We stayed in Room # 10 it was very spacious with a sitting area, a beautiful bedroom suite and gorgeous claw foot tub. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the service was really phenomenal. Would recommend a stay here for sure.

From the genuine welcome, through the wonderfully furnished rooms; wonderful breakfasts, gorgeous lounges- oh I could go on. There is nothing lacking in any aspect of our stay. It was superb and I unreservedly recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury stay in a really attractive little town.

What a lovely, historic property! Visitors may tour it, but you can also stay in it! We had a third-floor room near the rear of the inn thinking it would be quiet--but it must be so in any of the lovely rooms! There is even a single-story wing adjacent to the parking lot with easy access to the breakfast room.... More

We spent two nights here in the middle of a trip around the Maritimes. It's certainly one of the nicest B&Bs we've stayed at. The owner and staff were friendly, the building was beautiful, and the location is great. Breakfast was also tasty. We were somewhat disappointed by a couple of aspects of our room, which was #7 on the... More

Hillsdale is a beautiful period house offering excellent 'Canada Select' B & B accomodation. The house is immaculate & rooms are spacious & well presented. A breakfast with a range of options is prepared & served to order in a large, wonderfully decorated dining area. The small Annapolis Royal centre is a 10 minute walk along an easy, level &... More

We were cycling through AR with FreeWheeling and they had booked the Hillsdale House inn for us for two nights. It was a lovely, charming, beautifully maintained property with delicious breakfast and very helpful staff. We had a day of riding in rain so were soaked upon arrival and one of our group wanted a certain room that we had... More

This bed and breakfast was built around 1859 but it has been updated and is in good condition. You can tell the owners put money and effort into making it look really appealing while sticking to the historic period. The owner was very welcoming and we loved our room . The full breakfast was delicious and served by several very... More

This is a beautiful B&B situated very close to the center of town. About a 5 minute walk. The hosts were very nice although we really didn't have much interaction aside from the check in. Our room, #11 was on the ground floor with views of the expansive grounds behind the inn and was accessible via the side door. The... More

We feel this was the best place we stayed in during our recent Nova Scotia trip. Sadly we were only here for one night. We arrived early morning before check-in and had to leave straight away for the whale watching trip which we had booked that same morning at the Tourist Information office in town. At Hillsdale house, we were... More

We booked this at the last minute as it was the "last room in town"! Talk about falling lucky though; the place is absolutely superb in every respect. First class period decor all in immaculate condition, a wonderful hostess who couldn't be more helpful and all in a perfect position almost next to the botanical gardens and within walking distance...
