It's unusual for a hotel in a remote area to have dining that is very good. The Explorer in Yellowknife is such a place. Excellent breakfast options. Good dinner menu. And when the dining room is booked, try the nicely appointed bar. Try the Char fish and chips or the vegetarian risotto...among the best items on the bar menu. The...

Nice place, quite and clean. Sufficient hot water (really hot😂). Also, heating A/C is amazing! Great location (close to Shoppers drug mart) 7 mins from the airport (they do have a shuttle bus) Breakfast buffet and dinner are good.

Excellent service. When I arrived after a full day of travel there was a mix up with my reservation, the staff and manager, despite being at capacity, the staff and manager were able to accommodate me during my stay. This is not my first time at this hotel, and as always it was enjoyable, great good and service in traders...

This is a convenient hotel a short walk to most locations in town. Probably still one of the better places to stay..there are much worse! But the hotel is getting old and in need of upgrades, especially with new competitors next door.

Have stayed here a few time, the customer service and kindness of all staff has been Outstanding and Welcoming! Rooms are clean, extremely comfortable and front desk service is phenomenal! I do A LOT of travel for work and value the following things when travelling for business: * Comfortable work place in room with excellent internet connection: Free fast internet available. * Comfy bed (as it is usually a long flight or two to get there): Got a good night’s rest and could luxuriously stretch out in my king-sized bed....

The hotel is located where it is close to malls, restaurants, giftshops, banks and government offices. It is very popular place for parties and conferences. It does have a good restaurant and bar. For a bar, I expect to close at a later time in the evening. Some of the rooms are outdated (bathrooms, flooring). The staff are not so...

At all costs avoid attached rooms, ones with the door to the other suites. Not unless you like hearing every little thing going on in the other room. Also, the hotel has many guests there to view the northern lights at 2-4 am. Do yourself a favor and request a room on floors 5 or less.

The hotel is well located. Aside from that basically everything else blows goats. The hotel staff is very cold, rooms outdated, and blinds smell. Also, the catering is horrible, and many employees do not speak English which makes it difficult for some travellers.

Stayed here for 5 nights with my husband. The hotel room is big and the bed is really comfortable. There is lots of parking and the restaurant and lounge downstairs are very nice. The Internet and tv selection are not very good at the hotel and could probably be updated.
