There are not so many choices among Yellowknife hotels, unless you are going out for the full-board lodges sequestrated in the deep lake side. Among the hotels in city, this hotel, up to my knowledge, is the biggest lodging facilities, very convenient cause it is the last stop when tour goes out, and the first drop when returns from the...

Always stay here but you have to watch what you order on the menu at Trappers Grill. I felt like something a little special so I ordered the elk strip loin. $35 but got a tiny piece of meat - I mean my son would have eaten that in three bites. Plus it was a little tough - carrots overcooked...

The Explorer is a very good hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is very central. Good free shuttle service to and from the airport. Spacious room that are very clean. There are lots of restaurants nearby and can walk to a supermarket and the Shoppers Drug. Do not miss the Sunday brunch that has a lot of seafood...

The hotel is very close to the airport (5-7 mn drive). It is very clean and well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable. Very quiet. Good restaurant (a bit expensive but you are in Yellowknife).

I had stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Room is spacious , clean but a little bit dim and outdated. There are coffee maker, microwave slippers are provided in room but kettle is on request. Wifi is free but connection is weak. Staffs are helpful . Welcome chocolate is given when we arrived , this is so thoughtful and...

Our trip to Yellowknife was to fulfill a Bucket List dream. After staying up till after 2 am each night to watch the aurora borealis, we came back to a heavenly comfortable bed. The heavy drapes kept the light out so we could get a deep sleep until 10 am. Then there is a fabulous restaurant with breakfast buffet or...

Yellowknife is a very fascinating and different place, on June 21 the longest day of year there is street dancing all night being daylight. Hard to adjust when to sleep, well stay awake and party, also and right time of year, witness the beauty of auraborelis.

My 4th visit to Yellowknife. And this is my choice of hotels to stay at. Very friendly service and with a smile I might add. Very modern atmosphere and clean fresh rooms. The restaurant food is always top notch. If Yellowknife is on you bucket list make sure you book you hotel at the Explorer.

With limited choices, this downtown hotel offers comfort and convenience. Guests get picked up by a free airport shuttle and have access to refreshments in the lobby upon arrival. While the hallways had an unpleasant door, the large, clean rooms come with a comfy bed and a handy microwave. Restaurant service was great, but front desk personnel could be more...
