I booked this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend and was very happy with my decision. The room was spacious, bed was super comfortable and I really liked having a coffee and tea maker. I stayed on a weekend night and the room was a bit noisy, but that's to be expected when you are staying over a...

Right on the Main Street with a view of St John's harbour if you can see over surrounding parking lots and fences, we loved this unusual hotel. Doesn't impress from the front but the rooms are super cool and comfortable and the bar and restaurant welcoming and delicious. A bit pricy but worth it.

Spent just one night here mid-week. Nice, modestly sized room with a queen bed, nice sitting area with comfy chairs and a flat-screen TV, parking lot view. A couple of picky issues. First, all hotel information is very clear that quiet hours start at 11 pm and guests are expected to be quiet after that time - part of the...

This place is AMAZING. Love the character and feel of this place. Why pay the big prices at the Delta when you can come here!!! The service is incredible and the staff are so friendly. We have stayed 4 times!

The Blue on Water hotel occupies several floors over the bar and restaurant. You actually check in at the bar and one of the staff takes you up to the room via a "lift" (not to be confused with an elevator). Sully took us up and got us acquainted with the room. He refused to take a tip which was...

We spent two nights at Blue on Water during a recent trip to St. John's. It was a really good experience. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The rooms were modern and well appointed. The location is perfect in the heart of St. John's. We were a little concerned about possible noise since it is on Water...

If you’re travelling to St John’s, there’s only one place to stay to experience Newfoundland hospitality at its finest: Blue on Water. The small boutique hotel is housed in an 1870s building on the main street of restaurants and shops in St John’s, making it the ideal location for walking to dinners (Raymond’s!) and sights. The rooms are clean, spacious...

The Blue on Water is a chill boutique hotel on a great street for shopping and eating. Friendly staff greet you in the bar as you check in. Slightly more expensive than the Delta which we also stayed at due to $25/day parking in a nearby lot, but location and ambience made up for it. Just a caution, if you...

We spent two nights at Blue on Water and enjoyed our experience very much! The room we stayed in had a chic and modern decor and was located within walking distance of many great restaurants and pubs. The hotel staff were efficient and friendly and helped to make our stay memorable! We look forward to our next stay at Blue!

Rooms are really well-equipped and funky, modern decor. Comfortable bed. The only problem is that Water street is a party place on weekends and noise from adjacent bars is hard to block out. Our room was right on the street, maybe there are rooms that are quieter?
