Callaghan Country's Journeyman Lodge is a gem. Ski, snow shoe, or catch a ride on the snow mobile to the loge nestled in at the base of solitude mountain. We used our classic skis for the trip up and our skate skis for the trip down. Many people ski up for lunch which is a great day trip. We spent...

I'm just down from my second overnight trip at the Journeyman's Lodge and it really is quite spectacular. As a lover of downhill skiing and a long term Whistler resident I've been watching the Sills family develop this area for years. I'm not a fast cross country skier and used classic skis to get up in 3.5 hours with a...

As our children came home from different universities the lodge was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect as a family. The room was perfect with the kids loft and the food was hearty and plentiful. The charming staff informed us that it had snowed 50cm in 6 hours and we had another 20cm overnight. Luckily we used classic on...

Beyond beautiful location. I've never had such great service from staff - so personal and professional. Luxurious and cozy at the same time. Couldn't have had a better experience! Everyone should experience at least once, can't wait to go back!

I can't believe such a beautiful place exists. The 3 staff at the lodge are amazing and the food is insane. We ski toured all day and arrived back to freshly cooked dinner and the sauna heated up for us every night. A real paradise in BC! Must check it out for a couple nights.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from an overnight adventure at the ‘Journeyman’s Lodge’ in Callaghan country. We enjoyed our time spent at the lodge and in the true backcountry that is Callaghan. As travellers from Australia we were drawn to the lure of the Journeyman Lodge for its “off the grid” location and tranquillity. This is exactly what...

What a great way to have a fun family day in the snow. Bring smokies and marshmallows to roast over the fire. $15 for the car load and only 35 minutes from Squamish! Lots to see so grab your snowshoes, xc skis or scout out a back country trip and have some fun.

I had the opportunity to spend a few weekends up at the Journeyman Lodge in Callaghan Country and I fell instantly in love. My experience started days before with great communication and friendly service helping me to plan my trip. The morning of arrival went off without a hitch and I was able to rent all top of the line...

As much as I’d love to say I’m an adventurer, I’m do not carry the skills necessary to go deep into the backcountry on my own. The Callaghan Country offers the same experience without having to beg your super outdoorsy friend for a guided tour up in the mountains. It’s quite the ski up, but the views are well worth...

The food was fantastic (four course dinners on pare with Whistler’s finest Restaurants)…the skiing was the best I’ve done in my 20 plus years of living in Whistler…truly a bucket list experience. Loved the wood fired sauna; it overlooks a partially exposed riverbed covered by 25 foot deep pillows of snow. The Staff and Volunteers go the extra distance to...
