Their beds were very comfortable and their shampoo and conditioner smelled like spa quality. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is walking distance to everything and yet it is off from a bustling area so felt quiet at night and sleep wasn't disturbed. This hotel is our go-to place for accommodation since before kids and now we bring our kids when we visit Whistler as well.

We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of February/beginning of March 2024
The hotel is located in the village, a 15-minute walk from the gondolas. It has a shuttle from 8am to 4pm to go to the ski slopes or return to the hotel. Outside of these hours you can take the Whistler Free Bus, which stops one block from the hotel.
The rooms are well implemented and very clean. They have a small kitchenette, very useful for having breakfast or preparing a small meal (very necessary due to the excessive cost of restaurants in Whistler)
In front of the hotel there is a supermarket and a bakery very close by.
The stroll and restaurant area begins one block from the hotel.
The hotel has a ski storage room and a hot jacuzzi to relax after a day on the slopes.
The hotel does not have a restaurant.
The rooms are very well soundproofed. In 2 weeks we never heard any noise from the neighboring rooms.
All hotel staff are extremely friendly and committed to ensuring guests have a pleasant stay.
Congratulations to all !!!
We will definitely return to the Summit Lodge.

Suggestions;
The steps to get to the shuttle are in poor condition and must be repaired urgently.
The shuttle schedule should be extended until 5pm
The hotel should have a cafeteria.
The space for storing clothes in the rooms could be increased a little.

My husband and I were staying in Whistler for 2 nights between our travels to Vancouver and Victoria. We were looking for a 1 bedroom suite in the Village of Whistler for an average price per night. This hotel fit the bill with flying colors.
The 1 bedroom suite had plenty of room, closet space and a huge soaking tub.
My only disappointment was that the carpet was so thin, it felt like we were walking on a cement floor.
The location of the hotel is perfect; in the lower village, a few storefronts away from 2 great places for breakfast; Mount Curries coffee and Peaked pies.
It was a 10 minute walk from the Blackcomb gondola to ride the Peak to Peak experience.

Wonderful stay. Located in Village North, the hotel is close to restaurants, shops and grocery market.

Our bed had a comfortable mattress and pillows with nice sheets.

The bath was clean and the shower excellent. A nice surprise were the Mailin + Goetz toiletries. This is one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at where you can keep the bathroom door closed while taking a long hot shower and the bathroom doesn’t completely fogged up. The fan works incredibly.

Our room included a very useful kitchenette and a refrigerator that didn’t keep you up all night with buzzing.

The TV service worked fine, but the screen size isn’t huge.

The hotel has underground parking, but many of the spaces are very tight - especially with so many people driving large trucks and SUVs now. If you don’t want a high risk of your car getting dented, you are going to want to use one of the public parking lots.

Overall, we were thrilled with our stay and look forward to returning.

Grate stay, room was comfy there was everything we needed including a sponge & soap to do dishes, pots, and pans and cutlery. Snacks in room (with a charge) it was right in the village so easy to get around by walking. The hotel wanted to charge $21 for parking. We just drove over to one of the lots and paid 14.95 per day. the lobby had a candy corner & lemon water. our housekeep was iryna she was very friendly with my kids we stayed in September and she was grate with the dogs too it truly was a good stay.

We arrived very late at night to find the front door locked. We rang the bell and the front desk person came, opened the door and asked us why don't we have the key! We then had to explain that we were just checking in. After checking us in he then proceeded to explain to us how we can order breakfast items only to discover later that the deadline for that had long past.
We made it to our room and found it very comfortable, clean, and quiet. There is a midsize fridge, a microwave and an electric range. The kitchen area was stocked with plates, cups, pots and other kitchen utensils.
Despite reserving a room for three people, the sofa bed was not made and no pillows or bedding readily noticeable, We eventually found them in a box in front of the bed.
The room was cleaned daily and it was done well.
The hotel is very close to a large grocery store, most of the fast food places (Tim Hortons, Domino's, McDonalds, etc.) as well as some of the known restaurants. While they offer a shuttle that takes you to the main ski gondola, the walk to there is pleasant and did not take longer than 10 min.

Friendly, professional, attentive and courteous staff who always go above and beyond to ensure that your stay at their hotel and Whistler is comfortable and memorable. They are very knowledgeable about Whistler, the activities and replied to messages promptly, even before we arrived. Ellie and her team (we met Liam, Holly, Drennan, Miguel) are exceptional and always had a smile on their faces, are very patient and have great suggestions for activities. Matt the shuttle driver was the same, with lots of interesting stories and anecdotes - he made the short drive to the gondolas fun. He was patient and only too willing to help tired guests at the end of a long day, always smiling and cheering up everyone. The hotel is well situated and surrounded by great restaurants, food places and also close to a big supermarket which was convenient for catering, eating out or getting takeaway. Other eateries in the village centre aren't too far away and within a 10 minute walk. We preferred the location for its quiet and peace, unlike the area around the gondolas. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchenette is well equipped. Rooms are well maintained daily and we appreciated the little notes left by the cleaning staff to ensure that our stay was comfortable.

With 2 big luggage’s, this room is quite adequate. With microwave, coffee maker, plates, utensils, ref - a good value for money.
They also have fruit infused drinking water and a water fountain in the lobby. The pool is very small with a good for 2 jacuzzi, privacy isn’t really good for this area. The shower has pretty ok pressure.
Location, has grocery, kfc and Chinese take out across the (mini) street. Everything else is walking distance as this is located inside the Whistler village.

Our family had been eagerly awaiting our time in Whistler and hotel experience. We wanted a beautiful and relaxing place to vacation as a family of 4 and the Summit Lodge met all of our expectations.

We loved the modern/funky art and design from the lobby to the hotel rooms. The attention to detail in things like the Malin & Goetz body care products, the care for owners dogs, the fish at the front desk and joke of the day which our girls loved, the fun background music and even the hotel scent altogether created a positive and fun overall vibe.

The staff were friendly in every area of the hotel and it was evident they worked hard to keep the hotel clean and comfortable. We especially loved the pool area as a family. After fun adventure we spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub which made the time extra fun for our kids, especially since the weather has been incredible and hot.

We purposely chose a hotel with a kitchenette so we would have the option to prepare some of our own food, and the one in our room was clean and had everything we needed. Our only disappointment was the room had a small balcony that could sit two people only, but it had a gorgeous mountain view which we appreciated for sitting on to have a coffee or end of day drink.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is steps to the village olympic park, the Fresh St Market, great coffee at Mount Currie and delicious Peaked Pies. You are as close as you need to be without being directly in the main corridor of the village stroll. Parking was easy under the hotel for$21 a day which is pricey but worth not having to move your car daily.

Overall we would highly recommend the Summit Lodge to anyone traveling to Whistler who appreciates a great hotel experience.

Answer from Lorraine Y
Vancouver, Canada351 contributions41 helpful votes
Hi Gary, The Hotel has 4 floors, comprising of a ground floor (with lobby, cafe, spa, restaurant) and 3 guest room floors, with a total of 81 studios and suites. Additionally, the hotel has an underground parkade for $21 CAD + tax a night, which is comparable and competitive to other hotels in the area. The two main views include Pool View that overlooks onto the private pool area and the trees in a neighbouring park. The other view is the "Village View" where the 3rd and 4th floor can enjoy seeing the peaks of the mountains on a clear day. I hope that answer helps. Lorraine

Answer from Courtney E
Whistler, British Columbia, Canada9 contributions4 helpful votes
Hi Serene1975, The best thing to do would be to book ski lessons on the Whistler Blackcomb Website (unfortunately cannot include URL's in Q&A's) as they will ask many questions regarding weight, height, ability level, age, date of birth etc. Unfortunately we do not have a portal at the front desk to book lift tickets but the online process isn't too lengthy! :-) Let me know if you have any further questions. Hi. Does the cost of parking go down off season in May?
Answer from Lorraine Y
Vancouver, Canada351 contributions41 helpful votes
Hi there Tokyorose, Summit Lodge's secured parking is $21 + tax all year round. There are other unsecured parking options throughout the village including underground and open-air parking ranging from limited free parking to paid parking around $10-15 a night. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact the hotel front desk where they can give you more specific answers and locations if you need. :) Lorraine
