After a night of camping at Manitou Lodge (which the older adults liked) the younger adults were lucky to get a room at Forks Hotel with a hot bath and comfy beds. They said the bathroom was truly wonderful and they were impressed. I'd hoped to get into the Pacific Inn but glad to have booked Forks Hotel because it met all their needs and then some. Laundry on site too was so convenient!

We booked three nights and were blessed to find such a beautiful garden, rural location and incredible hosts. The spacious suite with modern amenities (including heated bathroom floor) was so comfortable with many windows overlooking the lovely garden and woods. It was such a pleasure drifting off to sleep to the melody of geese and owls , waking to gourmet breakfasts and having interesting and humourous chats with Heather and Sandy. Three playful golden retrievers to enjoy,. A short walk to the beach and a wooded trail to waterfalls and otter inhabited lagoon. The location, accommodation and relaxing hospitality were far beyond our expectations and superior to any other B&B we have visited.

To say the least we had many, many good chats. One of us had many questions. We do know who that was right Rob. It was great meeting the two of you. I am really glad you liked our B and B and Metchosin. We are lucky we have a wonderful community. You are not that far Victoria so you can wander down and enjoy lunch or dinner. I have to say that your pictures you took Sherri were beyond great. Thank you so much. Hope to see you both back here one day. Stay safe. Cheers, Heather

Heather and Sandy are impeccable hosts! Easy to contact, warm and welcoming and incredibly accommodating.

We are grateful to have had the chance to relax and unwind at their beautiful B&B. It is meticulously maintained, cozy, and beautifully set-up with large windows looking out at their gorgeous gardens.

We are going to miss Sandy's amazing breakfasts. He made us phenomenonal gluten-free meals accompanied by fresh juices and tea. To say we felt spoiled would be an understatement!

The bed was comfortable, the fireplace made the room warm and cozy especially after coming back from the beach that is only a 2 minute walk away!

It was also lovely to wander around their garden and watch the hummingbirds and quails. The little seating tucked away throughout the flowers are tranquil and offered a great space to relax and read. We also enjoyed visiting with Heather and Sandy's gorgeous dogs who are so gentle and sweet.

We highly recommend Wit's End Retreat. We are looking forward to our next relaxing staycation with Heather and Sandy!

What a wonderful review. I think the two of you needed a staycation and we are certainly glad you chose our place. We think the place is great in all the seasons even it is raining. You can stroll down to the beach. Take trail walks and really relax. Gluten meals are not hard to do you just have to make them look and taste interesting. Yes the dogs are gentle and sweet, but definitely love to do zooms on the property and really do not care if those happen to go through a garden or two, lol. Please come back and see us again. Cheers, Heather and Sandy

This was perhaps our fifth? sixth? time to stay at this peaceful, rejuvenating B&B. This time we were there for 3 nights. The room is comfortably large enough to have a queen bed, sitting area with sofa and chair, table and chairs with a view of the spectacular gardens, and yet warm and cozy. We enjoy having our sumptuous 2 course breakfasts on the deck, listening to the birds sing, taking in the fragrance of the fruit trees and various flowers. I don't know what Heather does to her hydrangeas, but they are world class! Because of the layout, you cannot hear anything from the house and they can't hear you. The bathroom is a glory in itself, with a clawfoot tub, enormous walk-in shower (rain shower and regular), and heated flooring. Then there are the three well-trained golden retrievers who are a bonus. It's just steps from Witty's Beach. We value the beauty and calming effect of the place so much, we've gifted stays there to our children and adult grandchildren. Our entire family loves it.

Mary what a lovely surprise to see a review from you. We have always enjoyed your visit with your husband Bill. You are extremely easy to look after and I know we will see you again. I am very pleased that you gifted your family members a stay with us. Because of that I got to meet my Auggie. What a special young man. So loved having him here as well as Brandon and Katie. Hope to see you all again in the future. Best, Heather and Sandy

Well what can I say? You always feel like you’re at home when you’re with Sandy and Heather. They come out greeting you with smiles and a welcoming hand. They are very lovely people with a very lovely home. Right away you can feel your stress and anxiety from your daily life go right out the window: it’s so peaceful and tranquil there. They are very lovely, they show you all the amenities and will give you whatever you need. They want you to feel at home and they want you to relax. Once you’re in your room it is so peaceful and quiet I didn’t even know that they were there. All they want to know from you is what time you would like your breakfast at and what would you like with your coffee or tea. The service is amazing and the food was just as amazing. I felt like I went to a five-star resort. The grounds that they have with the amazing garden. Make u feel at ease. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was awesome. I really enjoy that they have Netflix for you to watch if you want to watch or if you wanna relax and just read a book you can do that as well. They had games in the room if you were feeling like a games night. It really was worth every penny to stay with them. I would recommend this for anyone. We did it as a night in town to get away from the daily life and that’s exactly what we got. I couldn’t ask for anything more and definitely will recommend to everyone that I know. Thank you again Sandy and Heather for making it a memorable experience.

Konrad, thank you ever so much for the lovely review. We do appreciate our place. We love to share it with others. I think we have a nice and safe Band B. We would love to have more guests, but in these times we certainly understands people not travelling. The gardens are lovely and I think Sandy does a crack up job with breakfast. Hope you come and visit again. I like teasing you. Best regards, Heather and Sandy

My fiance and I stayed here for our 12 year anniversary a couple weeks ago. This was one of our best getaways yet and our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. Our whole experience was positive and wonderful. The couple, Sandy and Heather are amazing hosts who are thoughtful in everything they do, and very accommodating. The room is beautiful and has everything you could need, there is even a mini fridge stocked with sodas and water and beautiful little cakes and a cheese plate with what I think are homemade crackers. There was a complimentary bottle of wine as well! The two course breakfast was amazing, and everything was homemade! Some of the best food I have ever had, from homemade bacon and bread, berries from their garden, farm fresh eggs and freshly made juice. Yum! The garden is absolutely beautiful, it's easy to spend hours wandering around looking at all of the flowers and ponds, or just sitting in the gazebo taking in the beauty. Imagine a place where you can count the hummingbirds and butterflies during the day and the stars at night on your own private balcony! We will definitely be back!!

4 days with my hubby to visit our son and his family. We lucked out finding this place on line and available. We so wish we had found this earlier. What a beautiful, perfect B&B. The room is large and still warm and cozy. The bathroom has a big clawfoot tub, a big glass shower, and heated floors. The grounds are a gardener's dream. Breakfast is brought to you, you don't have to be in a shared dining room with other visitors at a specific time, you are the only travellers there. The hosts are a hospitality specialist and a chef, so believe me when I say the food, the welcoming service, the extras and treats, were just over the top amazing. The cost is surprisingly reasonable especially for the island, and there is just basic tax on top - not all the typical extra fees that are common now (eg: city tax, hospitality tax, cleaning fee, parking fee, and a large damage/incidental deposit that you don't get back for 3 days after you leave). This is one of those rare instances where the reality is actually even better than the online description and pictures! We were so very pleased with our stay, and will absolutely be back. The hosts feel like family. (we were busy, so didn't take a lot of pics, so they do NOT do this place any justice)

Well Karen what can I say. It was great having you and Steve stay with us. You were a delight and so easy to please. We would love to have you come back. If it was in the summer we could sit out in the orchard and have a glass of wine . We really do hope you come back. You need to see your grand child again. All the best, Heather and Sandy

Just what we needed! We live in Victoria but felt like we were many miles away. We usually stay in the summer but really enjoyed our spring stay. Thanks to the cooler temperatures we used the fireplace, soaked in the tub and enjoyed the cozy yet spacious room. Heather and Sandy were wonderful, as usual. Safety protocols were followed extensively. The breakfasts were outstanding...poached pears with a caramel sauce being the stand out for me!
Hope to cycle out again this summer.

My stay at wits end was simply perfect and much needed. The yard surrounding the bnb is spectacular. We spent breakfast watching the hummingbirds come and go from the garden. The bnb itself is perfect for 2 people but we accommodated 3 comfortably. The room was clean and equipped with everything you would need. Each morning we couldn’t wait to see what The two course daily breakfast would be. The owners are a Very approachable and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. The three dogs are available for pets and entertainment. I Highly recommend staying at wits end for your next trip to the island!

We do not usually accommodate three, but made an exception this time. The three of you were great. You took the time to relax. Your mom looked quite comfy in her housecoat on the deck watching the birds. I am always pleased what Sandy does to make the food look appetizing and taste great. Hope you all return again one day. My wife and I spent four nights with Heather and Sandy and can't speak highly enough of the location, the service, the food, or those sweet doggos Taffy, Sammy, and Frankie.

Everything was just fantastic, less than a minute from the beach and it's far enough from the craziness of the city to be a calm and relaxing space while still being close enough to go and check out Victoria if that's your thing.

We can't say enough how much you should go and stay at this place, and we can't wait to go back and see Heather and Sandy again - did we mention how great those two are? It bears repeating.

Thank you both for making your stay with us so easy. Sandy and I love it when people enjoy our dogs. We both liked it that you chose to realize that Taffy, our rescue Golden, is very special. You gave her the extra love that she so deserves. She loves her new ball you bought her. She is forever taking it from one of the other Goldens. We hope one day you come back and stay with us again. Little Frankie will be a big girl then. Cheers, Heather and Sandy
