Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at this hotel recently again and it is the best hotel in Victoria as far as I'm concerned. It is a very reasonably priced hotel and in a good location. The rooms are clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. We loved the shower with the rainfall shower lots of hot water. The games room off the lobby is great with a huge TV, ping pong table, fuze ball and free popcorn. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Always greet guests with a smile. The Office Manager, Adil Jaria, is wonderful. All the staff are a credit to the hotel. We will be returning during the summer when we can enjoy the lovely clean pool. Thanks to all.

This hotel has just recently been renovated and they did a very tasteful job. Great attention to detail and the rooms are so well designed with a split bathroom, mini fridge and micro So fresh and clean with super comfortable mattresses. So nice to find an affordable hotel in such an expensive city like Victoria. Two great restaurants on site and a great location - so close to town and very quiet. The staff is excellent, warm and friendly they make all the difference with their caring and competent service.

Great conference room! We spent a nice night in this boutique hotel. Also, the downstairs bar Hecklers is amazing. Great comedy, amazing people, and wings that rival anywhere. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again in the future for business or pleasure.

Pillows are super fluffy, the bed was a king size and very firm. Although it’s an old building, the rooms are very clean and well-maintained. The bathroom fixtures are very modern, the kind you find in upscale hotels. The staff is cheerful and friendly. They also have a comfy game room with a massive TV screen and fuss-ball and other games for kids. In the evening, you can get free pop-corn in that room. There are two pretty decent restaurants attached to the hotel, one for brunches and one for dinner/pub. I would normally choose a hotel near the waterfront but I chose this hotel because it was walking distance from my workplace. Overall, it was a great choice! Big thank you to the staff.

My parents were visiting me for the first time in 3 years and I had to book accommodation for them in Victoria. I came by The Vic on google and decided to go with it for its reviews and pocket friendly approach! Hands down, this hotel made my parents’ trip so much more memorable. The room service, house keeping, front staff and logistics were so accommodating and sweet. I would totally recommend this place for your stay. They are super welcoming and friendly.
