Beautifully restored, magnificent attention taken in the details, and incredible gormet breakfasts. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. I highly recommend it, it was well worth the price, and we will be going back soon!

Our stay at the Amethyst Inn was simply delightful! Abel, Shelley and their family welcomed us warmly and made us feel as cherrished guests. The staff had extensive knowledge of the area and was gracious and kind. We...

Victoria is a great place to visit for its beautiful garden and the coast but if you miss this magnificent hotel your trip will not be fulfilled. My family have visited Victoria early June and stayed at this hotel for the whole week. We felt not only the great hotel but the warm service from the hotel management has left...

“The top floor rooms, although beautiful, are a bit smaller due to peaked ceilings. If you are tall this may be a bit of an issue. All the rooms are beautifully appointed. As it is a Victorian house, there are no closets, but large wardrobes are provided. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator, so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem.”

“If you have mobility issues do not stay in Room 13. You have to climb over a 3' high wall to get into the small tub or use a slippery tile step positioned off to the side.”

“I would try the free standing rooms OR one of the upstairs rooms. NOTE:I don't believe there is a pool or fitness center but my stubborn iPad won't allow me to leave those 2 categories empty, so I left them at par with the other categories.”

“Front rooms get a fair bit of traffic noise from the street. Top floor means a lot of stair climbing.”
