When we first met the Inn Keepers, Abel & Shelly, we were so impressed by their sincerity and warmly welcome. They showed us around and introduced the historical background about this house. We were amazed by the different styles amongst each room with elegant deco in a strong Victorian Style. They were so familiar with the tourist attractions in Victoria...

We chose their least expensive room, and yet our stay was all that we could have wished for! A gorgeous place: beautifully restored Victorian elegance. Clean, attractive, with every comfort. We had a japanese style jetted tub in our room. What a treat! A truly friendly staff, full of smiles. The food was lovely, and the service attentive. They had...

My wife and I booked two nights at the Amethyst and we enjoyed it so much, we stayed another night. The owners were very accommodating to our needs and the breakfast was great and different every morning. The Inn built in 1885 has received a recent upgrade and renovation that made our stay especially nice. When we return to Victoria,...

The entire Cheng Family and Mr. Williams made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Our beautiful Garden Gate Suite was perfect! Although, when my husband and I first arrived and realized there was no TV, we were a little surprized. What were we supposed to do with out a TV?? It was not a problem. Every night we went into...

“The top floor rooms, although beautiful, are a bit smaller due to peaked ceilings. If you are tall this may be a bit of an issue. All the rooms are beautifully appointed. As it is a Victorian house, there are no closets, but large wardrobes are provided. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator, so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem.”

“If you have mobility issues do not stay in Room 13. You have to climb over a 3' high wall to get into the small tub or use a slippery tile step positioned off to the side.”

“I would try the free standing rooms OR one of the upstairs rooms. NOTE:I don't believe there is a pool or fitness center but my stubborn iPad won't allow me to leave those 2 categories empty, so I left them at par with the other categories.”

“Front rooms get a fair bit of traffic noise from the street. Top floor means a lot of stair climbing.”
