Once our booking was made, pre-arrival notes let us know about the stairs and door codes. Wade greeted us warmly when we arrived at 3 pm. A lovely sitting room with gas fireplace and complimentary tea and coffee were waiting to make us feel even more welcome. Our room was a good size for the history of the house and...

Great hotel, great location, check in and out method without bureaucracy, charming room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, there is no lift in the property but this was not a problem for us, great stay.

Great location, excellent email information and instructions before arrival, very welcoming environment and wonderful place to walk around. Our room was small, but very lovely. Have already recommended to friends!

A lovely place. Castle view over window. Quiet for sleep, nice surroundings, helpful staff. 7 minutes walk to governors ' yard and an art gallery. Very nice dining hall for breakfast and relax. Suitable for a relaxing trip.

I love the fact that we can relax and enjoy each other's company. I love to treat my wife like she is a queen and I get help bringing her breakfast in bed. Because after she puts up with my grumpy old bum. She deserves it.

Loved the rooms, and the attention to detail in both the historical aspects and the amenities provided to guests. The only things that I views less than perfect was in the lack of hot options for breakfast. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here during a coaching course and it was my warm nest to come back to after hours in the snow and rain. My room was cozy and well appointed. Staff had amazing recommendations for restaurants and even accommodated me with a last minute extension.

Vi stayed one night January 10, 2017. The night temperature was -8C . The suite did not have adequate heating, two radiators but only one was working, no heat in the bathroom, single pain windows and one small electric space heater. We would go back but only during the warmer season.

From start to finish our visit was enjoyable and we will stay here again. Easy to find. Although parking seems problematic don't panic, follow the instructions. You cannot avoid stairs outside or in. Lovely welcome and walk thru the 24/7 coffee/tea area, parlour and guest kitchen with laundry available. Our basic room was cosy and comfy. Surprisingly quiet. Cold breakfast...

Staying at the Craigmyle was a little trip back in time but with all the modern conveniences. The ambiance was welcoming and comfortable. The location was only five minutes from our business the following day, walking distance. Recommend 100 percent.
