Visiting for nine days from Australia and was a bit worried reding some reviews. However, had an issue with booking at the start and was fixed up quickly with a friendly reception. Staff were amazing, very friendly and chatty for the whole nine days, even when short staffed. Staff gave us heaps of tips and ideas of what to do and where to go. Heaps of eating places within short walking distance. A short walk to the wharf. Actually, a get position to walk to everything thing. Accommodation clean and roomy. We were on second floor and did hear a lot of upstairs noise at night, only negative. Beds clean and comfortable. Had the best time visiting Victoria. Thanks to ALL the staff.

Me an my girlfriend decided to come to tell our family of our expecting baby,We wanted to vist but thought it best to have our own place to social distance. as we hadn’t been back to Victoria in a while they were helpful in suggestions new results an ones that would be open during covid 19 and speaking of which the hotel had only a few guests an kept everything very clean an made it very easy to social distance, we would just put our trash outside the door to cleaned daily as housekeeping does not come into your room during stay an if we needed towels we just went to front desk ( which is close to rooms) overall we were very happy with our stay an felt safe my only thing was that parking was 9 dollars a night , which actually is reasonable seeing how it’s gated an right downtown , we will be returning... with a little one in future

This hotel was clean and super accommodating. They allowed us to bring our two dogs and we had lovely suite with kitchen and separate bedroom. The staff was friendly to all the people and pets in our family. When you check in the dogs also get a goodie bag at check in with treats, poo bags and a map of off leash parks.

When you go to a hotel for a night you hopefully get a clean/stocked room and then your off to your next destination with another clean and stocked room. When you stay at the Quality Inn in downtown Victoria do not stay longer than a couple days as they do not clean/ stock your room when it’s needed and they will not accommodate even though you trusted them for your family 10 day stay. We requested a room change half way through our 10 day stay to get a total clean haul and they said no even though we never asked for any cleaning for the first half of our stay. I would not recommend staying at this location for a longer period of time. I’m sure there are other locations that care more about there customers.

The Location was great. We were able to walk to most restaurants under 15 minutes. The hotel has secured parking for $12.00 a night. The hotel has 3 floors of rooms. You can hear everything going on in the hallways and when people close their room doors , it is very loud- so bring ear plugs. There is one washer and one dryer on the first floor at a cost of $2.00 per load. You can buy detergent at the front desk for $1.00. The hotel is kept clean and the staff are friendly. We both found the bed uncomfortable. But overall it was a good stay. It is an older building so one has to keep that in mind.

Solid budget hotel in a great location: simple, clean and comfortable - perfect place for a night or two to explore beautiful Victoria. Polite and friendly staff. Although room rates are very reasonable for being within walking distance to most attractions - it would be nice not have an additional charge for parking (why not include $12 in the rate?). We were a bit concerned about not having individually controlled A/C but surprisingly were very comfortable in the evening and at night (I guess whatever system “with a central cooling unit that pushes cool air into rooms” they have – it works)
We really enjoyed our time in charming Victoria and after productive days being out and about - we had a good night rest in Quality Inn Downtown Inner Harbour. I would definitely stay here again!

I was only in town for 3 days. The location is perfect, close to shopping, tons of restaurants and very close to bus stop for city buses coming from the ferry (closest bus stop if Courtney). however, if you are coming with the ferry connector bus, they you'd have to get off at their depot, which I believe is only 4 blocks away approx

The room was very nice. All rooms have a little fridge (comes empty) a TV, a desk, cupboard, etc. armchairs int he room

The absolutely best feature was the lamp on the night table not only did the lap base have a plug for your convenience, but also a USB PORT!

The rooms do have a coffee machine and a microwave

NEGATIVES
-each room has it's own furnace. Mine was extremely noisy! Kept me up. didn't get a good night's sleep
-Location of room. i paid a little more to have a room on the top floor so it woul be queter. and I specifically requested a room that would NOT be by the elevator. Guess what. They didn't pay attention and got a room right across from the elevator! And in spite of the 'no noise after 10pm, other guestts were completley inconsiderate, talking loudly
-to make matters worse, there was a large enough gap at the bottom of the door, which let hall light in and guest noise (from going to/from elevator

As convenient as this place was, I would be very relustant to stay here again. Frankly, because of all the bad experiences I had, I should have received at least a partial refund.

But if none of the above bother you. very convenient location, close to lots of restaurants, one block from the Royal Theatre and 3 blocks from The Bay Centre

We came for our trip to Victoria - we noticed the pool was closed which was very disappointing as we specifically were looking for a hotel with a pool. It was closed the whole time we were there. They upgraded us to a room with a kitchenette, and my goodness this hotel needs a remodel. The door was so crooked that you could see into the hallway - there was no sound proofing around those rooms. The outlet in the bathroom looked quite sketchy as well and was not flush to the wall. The beds were the comfiest and best part of the hotel. It would be fine if you only plan to sleep there but if you want to spend anytime in the room I would find somewhere else that puts more effort into their hotel rooms and the quality. I means it’s quality inn and definitely didn’t show in there rooms.

Older but clean hotel. No breakfast and additional charges for parking. Staff are friendly. Rooms do not have controls for A/C so you are basically stuck with whatever temperature they decide. This would be ok for most times of the year but it was particularly hot in Victoria and having the room a little cooler would have been nice.

we booked a room via Priceline. When we arrived at around 9 PM, the receptionist told us he could not find our booking so we would have to repay . Because it was late at night, we agreed. He said he could only accomodate to the only room available, which was not very comfy. When we came inside the room, it was like a jail cell. The room was extremely old, broken down, as if noone has stayed there for YEARS ! I wonder if there had been someone who died in that room so they didnt rent it out and they gave it to us ....

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review and on behalf of the whole team, I do apologize for the inconvenience. We did follow up with Priceline and it does appear that the reservation never reached us, we are looking into why. I am sorry for your poor impression of the room. All our rooms have been renovated in the last 3 years but I will follow up with Housekeeping team to determine why the room was not more inviting. Thank you for the feedback, we hope to see you back so that we can provide you with a much better experience. Best regards, Sinisha Ivaz General Manager

Have all the rooms been renovated?
Answer from General M
Victoria, Canada9 contributions
Hello Sarah B. Thanks for the question. As you may be aware, the 3rd floor was renovated 2 years ago and we were planning to renovated floors 1 and 2 in the Spring, i.e. now, however, we had to move up those plans for the Fall. We are looking at re-designing the lobby within next few weeks. Needless to say, we are very excited about both projects. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for your interest. Best regards, Sinisha Ivaz General Manager

Do the rooms have a bathtub? Is there a hot tub? I have a bad back and both ‘tubs’ offer relief.

Hi Donna. Yes and yes. Full size tubs in the room - safe and clean. Also, probably 12-16 person hot tub near the lobby and elevator. It looked great, but we arrived late enough that we could not use it.

Good morning demetrius, Thank you for your message. We do not have individual air-conditioning in rooms, just cooled air in the public areas. It only becomes an issue on a few days in the summer but due to our mild climate, it is not a problem the rest of the year. The rooms do have individually controlled heating. I hope that answers your question, please let me know if I can assist you with anything else. Best regards, Sinisha Ivaz General Manager
