First, I want to say thank you to Emre, who was my first point of contact in the hotel, for helping me and my friend out during our stay. He was very professional and personalable, and also picked us up when we needed a shuttle downtown. With that said, here are the pros of this hotel.

The pricing point is cheaper than a lot of other places, and for those that just need a place to sleep with large beds, this is a good bargain. Their beds are the same used by Fairmont Hotels. They also have PLASTIC-FREE toiletries which is important to me. They have a European bathroom meaning the sink is not in the bathroom. They have free shuttle to the airport and ferry terminal and downtown but you must book a time slot as other clients want to use it too! They even picked us up twice downtown on call when the shuttle was free.. I thought it was very nice of them to do that on call and it saved us a few bucks taking the bus and on time as well. I even offered to buy Emre some ice cream haha but he declined. They also have free electric bikes, which I used four times while I was there. On one of the days, our bike had a malfunction and they drove to help us out too. They also have free kayaks through a third party. I wanted to go twice but didn't take advantage of the second time. The location is outside downtown, but it is a quick ride from their shuttle or take the bus route 11 which gets you there pretty quick.

Now, the cons. The room I had was noisy. It was above the lobby (not actually an issue) but this meant it was close to the road. The A/C unit goes through the wall, and as a result, it's basically like having a window open. You can hear the cars passing by in the morning and any loud chatter outside. If you're a heavy sleeper or use ear plugs, this won't be an issue. I also had a lot of noise coming from the walls, such as the plumbing or heating, I'm not quite sure. It would wake me up a few times during my week stay, again, only an issue for light sleepers.

I would probably consider this hotel again if I could get a room more inside. It offers a lot of perks that I've never seen before in any hotel or motel. As an avid cyclist, the bikes were honestly my favourite part. It helped me reduce my spending on transportation and I got to see the city in a different way and take the bike path from Mount Douglas.

Hi m1nhuh, Thank you for writing about your stay experience with us and telling us what you liked most and where we failed. I am sure that Emre was blushing when he read your review. All of us appreciate the opportunity and are committed to lowering our carbon footprint. Everything from drink cups, napkins, food clamshells and disposable cutlery are compostable and made from corn. Two years ago, we installed two TESLA and Two EV charging stations for our guests’ use. It is nice that you recognized our efforts. We do our best to apply green initiatives whenever possible. We are very proud to be a small independent, family-owned hospitality business. As such, we can bring more value to the dollar spent than other hotels. For example, providing more complimentary amenities for the price of a room than any hotel in North America and still be cost-competitive with hotels that offer much less or charge additional fees. Thank you for mentioning these services in your review. Your comments about the noise are greatly appreciated. Our maintenance team has inspected the room that you stayed in and has found solutions. Applications are underway, and we should have this optimized shortly. We hope you will give us the pleasure of having you as our guests soon and have the privilege of being at your service again. We’d love to make your next review of your stay with us a five out of five. Cheers!

Robin Hood is a few minutes away from downtown Victoria, and the location is quiet, in the middle of a residential area. Housekeeping is on point and the internet is really fast - if this is an important factor for your hotel stay, this is the right place for you. The rates are reasonable and they do have the option of suites with kitchenettes, for a little more, you can choose to do some light cooking instead of dining out, given the pandemic situation - a lot of restaurants are not open for dine in.

I would definitely recommend the Robin Hood Inn & Suites. We had to come to Victoria for a hospital test and had read about the Robin Hood. It was a great stay. I was very impressed with the wonderful staff. They were all very friendly and accommodating in every way. A pleasure to deal with!
The room had everything we had wanted - a full kitchen, a separate bedroom and a very comfortable bed and pull out bed. The continental breakfast was more than expected with homemade warm muffins and terrific coffee (which was also available anytime). Charges were very reasonable. They also have a free suttle, use of e-bikes, and several extras that we would love to take advantage of on our next visit. The location is on a quiet street, about 10 minutes from almost anywhere in Victoria so it also a very convenient relaxing place to stay..

All of our team members are absolutely thrilled and honored to read your pleasant comment about our place as it is covered pretty much all the service we offer. We would love you to try our popular e-bikes at your next stay. You will enjoy that very much for sure! If you have another chance to visit Victoria for either medical, leisure, or any other purposes, we are more than happy to be your lively second home in Victoria. We would love to see you again soon hopefully. Until then, please stay safe and healthy. Sincerely,

Staff is super friendly, great restaurant recommendations in walking distance even. The breakfast great room had everything we needed including a fancy coffee machine, fresh baguettes, home made cream cheese, cinnamon buns, hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Amy's bubbly nature put us at ease. The room was very clean, had new carpet, bed and stellar sheets and pillows. Greatest sleep ever! The price was right so we ended up extending our stay an extra night. I would go back in a heartbeat. It is now our go to place in Victoria.

A little dated but our room was clean and the beds and pillows are the most comfortable I have ever slept in.. including my own. The Covid protocols are excellent.. all dishes and cutlery are individually wrapped, and a small bag with masks and hand sanitizer was given at checkin. It's about a 12 min drive into downtown Victoria, and although we didn't use it there is a shuttle to take you into Victoria or the airport.

The staff at this hotel are very helpful, friendly and exceed in their customer service. The hotel rooms are clean and simple.. Beds are very comfortable, the AC is good and all the basics are well met. Breakfast is cheap and covers the basics (boiled eggs, coffee/tea, pastries, espresso/lattes, juices) and during Covid delivered to your room.. I am a pastry snob so bought a great one from Daniels Bakery the day before and kept in fridge to go with my cappuccino in the morning before our ebike! The hotel has some e- bikes and kayaks you can pre-book and the location of the hotel by the gorge and Galloping Goose bike trail make these really easy and fun activities. We didn't use the shuttle but we were impressed to learn you could book it to pick you up from the ferry. I highly recommend this hotel and have stayed here several times. If you are looking for stylish rooms or gourmet breakfast, this is not the right property for you. If you like value and great service, this is a great find.

Thank you, MarllsMac, from every robin Hood hospitality team member in rating us 5 out of 5. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will help other travellers looking for a great place to stay; choose us, we hope. We love Daniels Bakery, especially for their Birthday cakes that we have made for our team members' birthdays. However, the next time you stay with us, I'd like to have a Croissant challenge. Everything that we offer is oven-baked fresh each morning. The pastries are buttery, and the croissants remind me of Paris. We would be thrilled to have you as our guest again soon. Cheers!

We stayed at this hotel last August and I've been meaning to write a review for so long. It was a reasonably priced motel which is why we booked it but I never expected it to be as good as it was. The beds and bedding were absolutely wonderful, I actually ordered the pillows when I got home because they were the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The bed was so cozy and comfortable - I have a bad back and it's the best sleep I've had. The shower was the other thing, most places it feel like a trickle is falling on your head, these showers had power behind them and were just awesome quality. The motel was clean and the breakfast was great too. Most importantly the staff were amazing, so kind and courteous. The manager came to check on everyone during breakfast and he was such a joy to talk to. I would definitely stay here again!

They give guests that have never stayed at the Robin Hood Inn & Suites, the confidence to choose us. As you mentioned in your review, you didn't expect what a wonderful Inn we are. We came to Victoria to cycle the Galloping Goose Trail and booked the Robin Hood because of its proximity to the trail. What a pleasant surprise. They staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The room we had was very clean, quiet and had all the niceties, including pleasant smelling soaps, shampoos etc. And they even provided us with a covid kit including masks and sanitizer.

We were so glad to have found the Robin Hood to stay at on our trip to B.C. Staff was welcoming and helpful. We especially loved the shuttle driver, Sam who was extraordinarily warm, helpful and terrific. Our room was great. We loved the complimentary toiletries. We did not get to use the kayaks or e-bikes because we didn’t have enough time but heard great things from other guests. We were happy with their alternative to a breakfast room which was closed due to COVID. They served a very reasonably priced breakfast to our room each day ( less than $20 for our family of 4). A great compromise! Room was clean and quiet and we all slept well.
Also want to add that they were very helpful before check in ever happened and helped us book a whale watching excursion for a discounted rate and answered some of our questions before we arrived. Great service!
Thanks Robin Hood!
