As I like to do these days, I check TripAdvisor before I book my trips. Usually choosing the Fairmont, but finding it hard to always justify the premium rate, I like to try boutique hotels. Wow, what a find. Thanks to TripAdvisor and Abigail's business rate I could not pass up trying it for the 2 nights I was in....

My wife found Abigail's via an internet search. Her first check was to see if it was on the list of known hotels with bedbugs, which is wasn't. In fact, every thing was immaculate from our room to the library to the dining area. Our room was spacious and the bed was as comfortable as we've ever encountered in a...

Wonderful! Lovely room, everything just perfect. Gourmet breakfast, gourmet appetizers in the evening - all included in the room price. Delightful, friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. I am so impressed with this hotel and will most definitely return for a longer stay I hope!

We stayed at Abigail's last September and everything was absolutely perfect. The coockies and the nice word to welcome us, the roo; was beautiful, the bathroom lovely...even the products were really nice. We enjoyed the little librarary in the evening, were you can warm up near the fire. The location is ideal, you can walk really easily to the harbour....

Abigail's is indeed special and a haven of peace and old world comfort. There's lots of beautiful dark wood fittings and furniture inside, especially in the book-filled library room where you can sit quietly and have an aperitif or something else later in the evening. The upstairs bedroom we had was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was al fresco in...

I was lucky enough to stay one great night with my wife at Abigails Hotel in Victoria. What a fabulous property this is. Starting with the service at check in, the two young ladies were extremely knowledgeable and polite, setting the tone for a great night. We had the standard room, with beautiful furniture and one of the most comfortable...

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying a stay at Abigail's on NYE. It was combined special evening and birthday surprise for my wife. The staff was excellent at explaining the different room choices and arranging some special requests for our stay. All the staff we encountered were very friendly, willing and professional and nothing was too much trouble. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abigail's Hotel is a unique accommodation experience that blurs the lines between a small luxury hotel and a heritage bed-and-breakfast Inn. Abigail's is an adult-only, intimate 23-room property that is housed in a 1930's Tudor mansion. Its special atmosphere blends the romance and charm of the past with the comfort and convenience of modern accommodation. Located in romantic Victoria, British Columbia, Abigail's is quietly situated on the edge of the bustling downtown core and is three short blocks from Victoria's Inner Harbour, within walking distance of all the major downtown attractions and restaurants. Life is too short to be conventional, discover a splendour and charm that has been lost to the ages and uniquely exists at Abigail's. ... more   less
