I stayed in the female dorm here a couple of weeks ago and found it adequate but very basic. The whole hostel felt a bit like a school and rather institutional. There were approximately 20 beds in the fairly clean dorm and only 1 light. (Which was off when we arrived at about 7pm but was then turned on and...

We were travelling on bicycles as an adult family of three. We booked a private room with a shared bathroom. The room (as expected) was tiny but it did have an opening window. The linen was clean and the room worked for us. There was one bathroom closeby for the females that was absolutely filthy at 3pm. The shower was...

We had a great stay in Victoria HI. The price is good and people were friendly. There is games, library, computer, wifi is working. great location dowton victoria. The minus are the shower, there is almost no privacy. And tthe light in the dormitory was on late. Bring something to cover your eyes. Nothing more to expectt from an hostel...

A solid and affordable base for exploring Victoria. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was quite good; easy to access on foot from the ferry (I took the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria and had no vehicle or other form of transport). Rooms and bathrooms were clean and quiet. Clean sheets were provided, and the wifi worked. Staff...

Basic but clean and affordable. Bring your own padlock or rent one. Bed was sturdy and comfortable, however the mattress of the bunk above me had a leather cover which creaked loudly at every move the occupant made, even waking me up through my ear plugs. Not at all a party hostel, but I personally consider that something positive. Upstairs...

The location is perfect to start exploring Victoria. The stuff is friendly and welcoming. Dorm and bathroom were clean as it can be at a hostel. Kitchen had everything you need. Just one tiny thing is, that there were no plugs per bed, not even per loft bed. So charging the phone overnight was not an option.

The staff and the location is the only good thing about this hostel. People coming in are kind of weird, don't talk or hikers you will never see because they get up at dawn. So Forget about sharing Travel experiences. The bunk beds are old but comfortable and the duvet stinks. So just use the clean white sheets they give...

I stayed there about 5 years ago for only one day but I liked it especially due to its good location. Its clean and you can easily meet other people there. You can organise your trips while there like the whale watching trip.

This place is in a good location in Victoria. The staff are very helpful and attentive to the upkeep of the hostel. It was bit on the expensive side though considering the 44 bed dorm. The wifi was good. Given that it's Vancouver Island and it's general demographic, it's not the most social of hostels. I had an alright time...
