We were EXTREMELY disappointed and dissatisfied with our stay at this B&B. We were given key codes for entrance into the establishment, to find that they only activate from 4pm,m unless otherwise organised. The dinning room was very cramped, leaving no privacy between tables. The breakfast was very average. No fresh juices, very limited fresh fruit, no boiled eggs and...

Unfortunately it’s true that these guests stayed between Christmas and New Year's, when we advertised that we would be offering reduced rates as we would be providing an extended continental breakfast (which includes our signature slow cooked steel cut oatmeal with assorted fruits and nuts) and would have an inn-sitter here during our short break with our family. Boiled eggs...

Granville House is spectacularly nice, very elegant. Our room matched the public spaces. The bed was very comfy, and the heated floors were an unexpected treat - especially in the bathroom on a cold winter's morning! Breakfast service was also very nice with delicious daily specials and their house speciality oatmeal available every day. The location provides easy access to...

Although Granville House was quite far from downtown Vancouver, friends and family lived nearby and some within walking distance. However there is good public transport in Granville Street. Other family and friends stayed there as well which made everything more fun. Randy and Pam made us so welcome and the breakfasts were an experience! A bonus was its proximity to...

The Granville House B&B was fantastic, no question. It is right on Granville Street, which is the closest thing to a highway that Vancouver has running through it, but it manages to be impressively quiet. We were even in a room at the front of the house facing the street (the Cedar Room), and it was quiet. Breakfast was delicious...

This is an excellent choice for someone visiting Vancouver and wishing to be very close to downtown but yet in a quiet world of its own. The neighborhood right behind the Granville House is simply stunning, and we'd recommend anyone staying at this boutique B&B to spend time walking the quiet streets tree lined streets. The houses are magnificient and...

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
