My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. We had an awesome time. Karen did an amazing job. Breakfast was one of the best we've had at any B&B anywhere! Great value for the money and we would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

For the second year in succession, we stayed in the Corkscrew Inn whilst in Vancouver. It is in Kitsilano, a lovely picturesque district, with easy bus access to the centre. Well looked after by Karin, who makes spectacular breakfasts. Rooms very comfortable.

The Corkscrew Inn is like the house you wished you could live in all the time. Elegantly and tastefully appointed, stained glass windows made lovingly by the owner's wife to match a museum-worthy collection of corkscrews, from humorous to ornate. Shiny hardwood floors, thick carpets and a fireplace in the shared cozy living room add a luxurious touch. Fastidious house... More

Lovely room. Lovely staff. Nice amenities. Was quite hot, but there was a ceiling fan. It was very quiet. The breakfasts were delicious. They made sure I had what I liked. Everything was homemade and local.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Edwardian Room which was the smallest of the rooms however it was perfectly big enough with a nice bathroom, wardrobe and space for 3 large cases! Breakfast is served with all the other guests and was varied each morning. It is a 25 min walk to Granville Island and ferries across to downtown... More

The best B&B we have been: breakfast is delicious, everything in the room is thought with attention. It is not rhetoric to say that you feel home even if away from home. Besides Kitsilano area was to us one of the best in Vancouver and we loved walking by the beach in the morning.

We stayed for 5 nights in The Corkscrew Inn, Kitsilano area of Vancouver, situated in a leafy suburb 5 minutes walk from the beach. We were welcomed by Karen who was very helpful and friendly. The decor is inspired by and with corkscrews, and the bespoke stain glass windows are a stunning feature! Recommended to us by our dearest friends (world travellers), Corkscrew did not disappoint. We've stayed at many B&B's as well, but Corkscrew will remain unforgettable. Karen wasn't there durning our stay, but Wayne filled in over and above the call of duty. Corkscrew is a home away from home in the most beautiful area of Vancouver (Kitsilano). A short walk... What an amazing place to stay - beautifully restored house (loved the many stained glass windows); delightful themed room; comfortable bed; plenty of room in the house to relax in; charming garden areas to sit in; Karen's amazing breakfasts!!! The reality far outweighed the information we gleaned from the website. The B & B was situated in a quiet neighbourhood,... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
