This absolutely stunning hotel left us with a memorable experience for our wedding anniversary. The staff sent up a thoughtful gift for us and we were very moved by the sweet gesture. This hotel was part of the StayVancouver hotel deals for the Spring season and we were a bit hesitant in booking it because it is relatively new and had very few online reviews. However, we wanted to give it a chance and we were very pleased. The staff were all friendly, location was close to the water, Canada Place, rail lines, and most everything you need (food and drink). We were grateful for the quietness of the area. The room was enough for a couple, with a soaker tub and roomy shower. We had 2 sinks in our bathroom and the toilet had its own little space. The glow from the light switches would probably annoy some people at night but other than that, I don't remember any negative issues with this hotel. I would recommend it absolutely.

We were in downtown for a business conference and stayed in this brand new hotel penthouse suite for 2 nights. We have stay at many hotels and don't ever give a review, but they deserve this review. This hotel is very beautiful and more modern. I love that the hotel is brand new. I personally do not like older dated looking hotels. But the best and most important part was that the service was beyond excellent. All the staff were courteous, attentive and very professional. We received a very personal and guest focused service from everyone but especially our bell boy. He ran next door brought us our wine, went and brought us a menu from a next door restaurant, placed the order for us, brought the food to us, and responded to every other request in a timely manner. He made phone calls for us to find me a mobile massage service while I enjoy my wine and relax. We loved that they did not say no to any of our out of the box and unusual requests. The door bell boys would run to make sure you are not having to lift anything or open doors. When leaving we couldn't get the dolly full our stuff from the business conference through the elevator doors. We ran into the maintenance guy and even he went out of his way to help my husband. We fully enjoyed our stay here. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel opened just recently and so their roof top restaurant is yet to open and I imagine that it will be very nice as well. The hotel is smaller so quieter with less traffic, which I like. They do not have other amenities like a spa, gym, shopping etc. and so that would be the only thing to keep in mind.

The moment I walked into the lobby and was greeted by the staff, I knew it was going to be an incredible trip. To start, the location is amazing. Walking distance to so many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. What made the trip extra special was the head concierge, Alexsander. It was my first time in Canada and he told me so much about the history of some buildings and recommended all the places to go. He even took the extra step to walk my friend and me to Palate Kitchen around the corner to make sure we didn’t get lost and introduced us to the hostess. It was such an incredible level of customer service that I haven’t ever experienced , even when staying at other 5 star hotels. All the recommendations of sites to see made our trip absolutely perfect . The overnight front desk agent even offered me water and offered to call a cab when my Uber cancelled for my 5am flight. The other employee working that shift even carried my luggages to the car in the rain and waited with me outside until they were there. The room was spotless and so beautiful. Housekeeping did an amazing job. We were also given a handwritten card with Rosé upon arrival as well as breakfast vouchers and early check in. Thank you so much to the staff for making my vacation so magical. I can’t wait to refer my friends vacationing to stay at this hotel. What a special experience! Also, the breakfast and restaurant staff was phenomenal !

Excellent downtown location with the Pacific and Hudson shopping malls just a short stroll away. We arrived at 2.40pm and our room was not ready. We were fine with this but somewhat surprised that there was no welcome drink/water offered while we waited (it is supposed to be a luxury hotel after all).

Our Sapphire Skyline room on 13th floor was small with a narrow walk-in closet and shower. The art deco style throughout gave the place a luxury feel but unfortunately the view from our room was marred by ugly buildings opposite. Only one dressing robe was provided and no luxury bathroom amenities (moisturiser, vanity kit, etc). The safe was also not functioning due to a dead battery. Again, we felt this was pretty poor for an upmarket hotel.

Perhaps the biggest issue for us was the lighting in the room at night, where quite a bright glow emanated from some of the light switches. If you are used to having a night light, then this won't be a problem but if you like absolute darkness when sleeping then you may need to find a way to cover up these switches.

There's no gym or other amenities like a pool. The rooftop restaurant was still being refurbished but will hopefully be a key attraction when it is finished.

Breakfast is in the Dahlia restaurant in one corner of the lobby. It's a very small area which would struggle to cope if everyone at the hotel turned up for breakfast at the same time. We had breakfast included in our rate, but were less than impressed to find out that it only covered one dish from the menu and coffee/tea. Any additional items such as a juice or pastry was chargeable! Even the humblest of hotels have more to offer at breakfast. On the plus side, at least we were offered free top-ups of coffee (only applies if you have the blend coffee not any of the specialist coffees such as Americano, etc).

The place has potential, but really needs to step up a notch or two in some of the fundamental areas.

I was very pleasantly suprised by the AZUR. The king room was very clean, well maintained and comfortable with good storage capcacity and a nice bathrrom. The location is near to the Burrard St Skytrain station, as well as being serviced by multiple busses going down W Pender St. I didn’t eat at the inhouse restaraunt/bar but it looked nice, and there are plenty of places nearby. Of note, if you are coming from Whistler on the Skylynx bus - it stops at the Hyatt just around the corner and even with ski gear the walk is pretty easy.

Really gorgeous …both people and room. 5 night stay wasn’t long enough and we were sad to leave. Only complaint was the room control panel positioned by the bed was so bright that we had to cover it with a hand towel at night and you could hear the commercial air con vent which was across the alley. No idea how all the lights work but we didn’t mind.

This is a brand new hotel and I was fortunate enough to be able to stay here. Unfortunately everything fell short and my experience was nothing short of awful. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. Upon checking out, the hotel staff charged the wrong credit card for my stay, although this has been clarified multiple times at check-in and check-out, which led to a series of complications that they failed to resolve.

Firstly, the fact that they took the wrong credit card in the first place is a clear sign of incompetence. I provided them with the correct card at check-in, but somehow, they managed to mix it up. This error caused a great deal of inconvenience, as I had to deal with unauthorized charges on the wrong card, and a shortfall in currency, due to the refund and re-charge.

To make matters worse, their customer service was abysmal. I made multiple calls to the front desk and the management, and was even hung up on once. When I called back again, the front desk staff snapped and said 'I told you I would look into it', but no one seemed capable of resolving the issue.

I'm very frustrated, stressed, and financially inconvenienced. It's completely unacceptable for a hotel to mishandle something as basic as charging the correct credit card. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel if you value a smooth and hassle-free experience, as their inability to rectify a simple billing mistake reflects poorly on their overall competence and customer service.
