Just keep your expectations in check. It's very run down but it was clean and I never felt unsafe staying there. My best friend and I stayed there several nights during a road trip. We had a private room with a set of bunk beds. The bathrooms are communal but were always acceptably clean. There was free parking in a...

It's a old place, not really clean but ok. Its close to a public main tram, 5 min. Walk. Also close to a not beautifull area - east hastings street. Staff - Joe - helped me with his endless patience. Thank you!

Alright, so if you look for a place without bedbugs to stay in Vancouver, this is probably the cheapest you can get. However, please do not expect anything that you are used to from your favourite hostel! The day that I arrived, the reception clerk already seemed to be totally unfriendly which continued to be the same the following days....

negative: - bed bugs! Worst souvenir ever! - staff rather grumpy - kitchen gets locked at 21.30 - almost everything in really bad shape or broken - very superficial cleaning, shower is disgusting - quite loud positive: - walking distance to downtown - comparably cheap - close to public transport

Stayed here with my two young kids an husband. Front desk staff was pleasant to deal with and they offered up a mattress and bedding for our toddler to sleep on the floor. Rooms were basic with a sink and fridge, but pleasant. Guests tended to be very noisy during all hours of the night, arriving drunk and throwing cans...

The beds are squeaky and the wifi only reaches certain rooms. It's quite small but is very central. The staff try very hard and all the bathrooms and kitchens are cleaned daily. If your not too fussed about it being a done up new building then I'd say it's perfectly fine. All the staff (but one) were extremely helpful and...

We were looking for a cheap place to stay close to Rogers Arena. Just a quick overnight. We're not looking for atmosphere, just an ok place to crash that didn't have that sleazy flophouse hotel feel. For the price and the location I took a chance, not expecting much. We were totally pleased. The area of town wasn't too sketchy....

This hostel provided everything I needed for a short, sight-seeing trip. The guys on reception were always friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and it was cheap! My shared room had enough space for the 4 of us and a sink, and I never had to wait for the bathroom down the hall. There are laundry facilities if you...

There was a misunderstanding/confusion regarding my booking when i checked in, the owner lady was really rude and defensive towards me and basically was yelling at me for no reason when i was being super friendly and trying to sort out my issue!! The location of the hostel is close to station but there arent many places around to eat...

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
