Hotel's Favourite
Traveling with family we needed 2 queen (not full size) beds and double sinks (bonus!). Paradox Hotel Vancouver has both! We stayed in a double queen bed w/balcony. It was spacious and I liked how only the area around the bed was carpeted. The room was also very clean w/mattresses fully encased. When we arrived there were complimentary sparkling water and still water (3 cans each) which were replenished when the room was freshened during the day (as well as coffee and tea). There was 1 side chair w/a small table and the desk chair for sitting. I was wishing there was more seating.
The bathroom was nice and a good size - the floors can be heated (much appreciated during the cold months), there is a vanity mirror, hair dryer, rain shower, and plenty of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. One thing to note, there are frosted glass panels in the wall shared by the bathroom and entryway where you can see into the shower through the glass (see pic).
Our room just happened to come w/a balcony (11th floor). It was large and had a nice seating area. However, if you're booking a balcony expecting a great view, you might be viewing the people in the office building next door (see pic).
There are two entrances for the hotel. You can enter from the busy main street and walk through Karma Lounge (bar/lounge) or the small backstreet (well-lit at night) where the valet is located. Karma Lounge was busy during the weekend evenings. However, we didn't hear any noise being on the 11th floor.
ALL the staff were friendly - the receptionist, the valets, housekeeping, concierge. Location felt safe and was convenient to many restaurants, coffee shops, shopping. Fresh apples at the reception desk was a nice touch as well as the live plant and sock stuffed animals in the room. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the Paradox Hotel! We were not disappointed. From arrival to departure, the staff were courteous and accommodating. Parking? Valet at your service! Centrally located to shops and restaurants. Contol of window coverings, lights etc through an automated system including a bedside location. I am fussy about my beds and I have to add that they met my standard giving me a good night's sleep. In-dining room service was quick and we chose to dine in for most meals making for a totally relaxing time. Thank you all at Paradox and especially to Annie at the front desk!!!

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Nicely situated close to shopping areas and the harbour, everything is just a two or three block walk and you can get to Granville Island in about 40 minutes on foot. First impressions are it’s slightly pretentious (the strategically parked super cars by the lower ground entrance) and an overly ‘hip’ bar on the ground floor. Over all the staff were friendly and helpful. Decor is heavy and dark, greys, black, blues, teals and the lighting in the corridors is more akin to an escape room. Did a walkthrough of the facilities but found the bar hostesses rude and aloof when I indicated I would be back to get a seat ( I was told it was only going to get busier ‘So……’ with that sickly fake smile and a flick of the hair) needless to say I didn’t return and smiled happily when I returned an hour later to see the room even quieter.
Room 910 was clean and tidy, but it’s strange showering and dressing while being able to see people in the offices opposite going about their days (your so close you can read the logos on the coffee cups) but the privacy shades and electric curtains are helpful. Lighting is dreadful, bright in the open room integrated bathroom and practically non existent by the bed. The toilet is in its own marble walled cell, just the toilet, no hand basin or hand wash, it’s literally like a toilet cell (but that might be a designer trend) the bed was comfortable, the Air Conditioning worked well so no complaints on the snuggle front. There is a wall mounted room control pad that was intrusive at night because it does not dim or turn off so it cycles between room controls and adverts for the hotel so it’s like having a mini tv running all night.
If your happy with the cost and have a fully loaded top end car to park next to the entrance then I’m sure you’ll love every aspect, even the video adverts for a ‘life changing New Year’s Eve party’…… (it’s still just February guys) the abstract oil on canvas trowel art and fake J Koons balloon animals and nick knacks from Home Sense TK Max on the shelves.

Stayed for four nights with our three young children and had a wonderful trip! The location of the hotel is ideal and there are many shops and restaurants nearby and easy to walk to even for toddlers. Our children loved the room as the views of the city were incredible. They provided a small crib for our baby and the kids made use of the oversized tub. The beds were very comfortable and we order several different meals from the room service menu and likes everything we got. Overall a great trip, kids are already asking when we can go back.

The former Trump Hotel during the time it was in operation was my favourite hotel in Vancouver. Since being replaced by Paradox, I had high expectations. I stayed 3 nights in a suite with my wife, baby and 2 dogs. We were beyond impressed by the standard of care by staff from house keeping, room service even at front reception with the bell men and concierge team. My overall stay was a delight and I would 100% recommend the Paradox Hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver or having a staycation. Great job to senior management and operational staff in delivering a phenomenal experience for my family and I.

I went on a girls trip to Vancouver and we stayed at the Paradox for 3 nights. Beautiful hotel, rooms, super friendly staff and the location was perfect for what we needed. We did a shopping day (the hotel is a few blocks away from all of the good shops), went to Granville Island, Stanley Park, took a day trip to Whistler and ate a lot of food nearby (highly recommend the Thierry Cafe)! Our room was meticulously cleaned everyday, the bathroom has a heated floor, all of the lights/shades/climate was operated via a digital monitor on the wall, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to hang/store your clothes (if you're into that sort of thing). We also used the valet service. They had our car ready for us quickly and were so helpful in loading our luggage. We had a great experience!

There are a lot of hotels in Vancouver charging $500/night for a room and offering a “luxury” experience….. I’m usually let down by that so-called luxury. I spent my 30th birthday in a balcony / bathtub room at Paradox and everything about it was fabulous. All of the staff are so kind and accommodating, and not a single detail was missed in the room. My only wish was that we stayed another night!

I have been to over 23 countries and this hotel is in the top 3 of hotels that I have stayed in. It is an absolutely stunning facility in a fantastic location and it has large tastefully well kept, modern rooms with the comfiest bedding, large balconies, smart tech paneling and amazing amenities such as heated floors. Our room is as large as a small luxury apartment! The amenities are exceptional and the staff exuded prompt professionalism. Moreover, the staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to take care of guests. Room service was to die for and the food was some of the best in the city. Our in room dining staff was also impeccable! Desiree and Sylvie were some of our favorite staffers during our stay. I will come again assured that I will have an amazing experience.

We had a four night stay at the Paradox and would highly recommend this hotel. Found the hotel through Booking.com and get a great deal including a room upgrade to an Executive Room. Arrived around 1pm and our room was ready to use. It had a beautiful layout and the room had a glimpse of the harbour. The room is a bit overlooked by neighbouring apartments however there are privacy shades and blockout curtains. The large bed was very comfortable and the room had good wardrobe space. We asked for and received extra hangers. There was a large bathroom with 2 sinks, large walk in shower and separate toilet. Quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were provided in dispensers on the wall. There were decent sized towels and an added bonus for me of makeup remover wipes provided each day.
The hotel is in a central location easy walking distance to most places. An IGA is 5 mins away. The Karma Lounge on the premises has a happy hour from 2-5 each day. As well as the happy hour cocktails we tried their turkey club sandwich and hot and cold dips - both excellent. A la Carte breakfast is available at the Karma Lounge but we chose to try some local eateries.
Staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Paradox for three nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, with quality linens. The room had a selection of drinks and snacks (payable) and a fridge, which was useful. The bathroom was great and I was glad to see that shampoo etc were in refillable dispensers rather than individual small plastic bottles - better for the planet!
Location is great - v close to Robson street and walking distance across to Stanley Park, ferry to Granville Island, shops.
The staff were lovely and always helpful and courteous. Special mention for Jam, who checked us in, and especially Saksham, who arranged a late check out for us and looked after us when we returned to rest (v late flight!) and collect our bags.

We are able to take early check-in requests, although we won't be able to guarantee an early check-in as it is based on our occupancy the night prior.
