Great shower, friendly housekeepers, and amazing restaurant for breakfast every morning (love Courtney)! Great location with a simple walk to some of the city's nicest restaurants and bars. Front desk folks were helpful, but less than effusive. Wrinkles and air pockets in hotel room wall to wall carpeting were not up to luxury standards.

The hotel you choose can make or break a vacation and I find that Opus actually makes me want to go back to Vancouver more often just to stay in the hotel! The rooms are clean and large - we stayed in a deluxe courtyard room; the bed is immensely comfortable; and the bathroom is spacious and has a heated...

I just loved this place. I arrived from the Northern Territories in need of some R&R and they bent over backwards to give me a room with a bathtub! Sparkling wine on arrival, coupled with super-helpful attitude. I ate in the restaurant which was lovely, brilliant bar man though I think the manager was there on his laptop which was...

Stayed four nights on a work trip on a recommendation from a friend. Arrived to a bottle of wine and chocolates in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly, location was fantastic with plenty of great restaurants in the area and within walking distance to plenty. My only complaint was that the room was a little small for the...

Was here for business, as the Yaletown location is very convenient - to the office, to trainline, to formal and informal dining. Upon check-in, was welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine, which was appreciated after a long day. My room was upgraded, which was a real treat! Will definitely come back again.

Booked a roomed online with an agent and then needed to update details with hotel. I was extremely impressed by personal attention shown by Nicholas to my email queries and follow up. Hotel is well located in Yaletown on the airport train line. Very efficient way to get to and from airport. Checkin smooth, I really like the pre-Checkin email...

Great location steps away from beautiful Seawalk. Staff is courteous, efficient and always available. Returning guests are remembered, which is a nice touch. We stayed in the Signature Suite as during our last visit: the room is absolutely beautiful by design, amenities and location with a great view. The bar area, restaurant and adjacent coffee shop are extremely convenient and...

Overall, a good experience. I had the buffet for breakfast and some items were all gone. Nothing was covered up so the pastries were dry and hard boiled eggs not on ice. Service was good but waitress was in ripped jeans and an oversized sweater. Some sort of uniform would have looked much better.

Great service, friendly staff, location is amazing...best restaurants in Vancouver within a three minute walk (except for Vij's...you have to drive there, but it is the very best restaurant in Vancouver.) Across from the underground and walking distance to City Centre...it's the complete package. Food is great, rooms are great, bar is great, valet is great...I'm staying here every time...

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.

“We requested a higher floor room away from the elevators. Yaletown is a busy part of downtown and the higher floor cut down on the street noise as did the bathroom which is smartly placed between the bedroom and the street side windows.”

“Liked the recycling bin.. if it's actually sent for recycling. Would have liked to be able to tell housekeeping they didn't have to change my linens and towels every day. Every little bit helps! You should get a sustainability expert to direct you on much more sustainable practices... or a marketing person that toots your horn! ”
