Very good room with lots of guest facilities and so near the best Vancouver has to offer. Granville Island is a perfect fine weather place to visit along with the attractive coastal walk nearby. The Hop On Hop Off bus service around the city is just a few minutes walk away.

Hotel not the easiest place to find via public transport, but once you know where it is convenient enough. Impersonal checkin, the receptionist spent most of the time on the phone to someone else so little sense of welcome. Missed the free wine tasting as arrived too late, but sounds like it would have been a nice perk. Room air...

The hotel interior is a little dated, but they have done some upgrades in the rooms. Comfortable bed, flat screen tv, cable, mini fridge in room. The bathtub/shower combo is dated and be careful when showering the floor in the tub is slippery! The staff was very friendly and we really were only in the room to sleep. Very close...

Room clean and facilities all as you would expect. Staff friendly but breakfast very average to say the least. Only real concern we had was a strong suspicion on arrival that the room had been smoked in at some time. To be fair though we didn't raise it with management as it was only for one night.

This was our first time in Vancouver as a family and this was the first hotel we stayed at which had been recommended by our travel agent. From the moment we arrived until when we departed two days later the staff which included the reception, the concierge and the maid could have not been more helpful. The receptionist helped us...

Thank you so much for the kind words and that you had not much to 'wine' about. I have made sure our team sees your comments and have thanked them on your behalf. We are also pleased that you were able to join us for our wine tasting as we love to meet guests and find out where they're from...

I've stayed twice at this hotel in the last thirty days in two different room types. On both occasions, I've been impressed by the staff service and overall room design/amenities. Although like other reviewers comments regarding the breakfast buffet needing an overhaul and the shower heads and water pressure needing updates, it is not enough to move my review to...

Thank you for your review of your stay and indeed we do pay attention to all guest comments, whether by social media, or in person. Through our guest feedback, we did find a challenge with our pressure regulating valve which was reducing the water pressure. This has now been corrected, and we hope the shower now feels like it's supposed...

Warm welcome on arriving at hotel, even though the hotel was fully booked and very busy, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful to each guest. Location was central to most events and eating places and transportation. Happy hour and pleasant lounging area in lobby, and very nice service.

We stayed at this hotel twice in our time in Vancouver, once in a one-bedroom apartment, and the second time in a Queen Suite. The Apartment was lovely, well appointed, looked at least 4 stars, enjoyed the views, great aircon, lovely bed, excellent bathroom, great kitchen. The Queen suite was incredibly disappointing. The air con didn't work, so a portable...

The staff of the Executive Hotel Vintage Park were excellent, courteous, friendly and very helpful. Full marks for them. We had a 2-bedroom suite. It was clean and attractive. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was modern and functional. It could have been a little better supplied with a kettle, teapot and gadgets, but it met basic needs. The hallways,...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
