Easy to get to from the airport as the subway is only a block away. Also show my friends were different sides of the city, this hotel was perfectly located between downtown, gastown, yaletown, and Chinatown. The rooms were average, but the service was very good. I stayed on the executive side and the rooms felt bigger. ( I originally...

I can't begin to tell you what a pleasant visit we again had to the Sandman VCC. Atif Hasnani is the duty manager and on both my stays, he has made me feel extremely welcome. Professional, yet funny. Made our restaurant reservations after assisting us with our selection. I could go on and on, but all I really want to...

I stayed in this hotel for one week, though I was in an executive suite. But this hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The room service is regular and very good. The location is very nice as well. Being close to the downtown, it is not really far from the action.

The check-in/out and parking went quite easily and the room was adequate. The hotel is showing its age and some aspects have been upgraded but there is still room for more updating. Would definitely stay again as the location and price were just perfect for our needs.

We always stay at this hotel when going to a concert or event at Rogers Arena or BC Place. It is within walking distance of the stadiums and close to a lot of restaurants too. The beds are comfy and the rooms have always been clean. The only down side is the size of the rooms. The queen rooms are...

My husband and I stayed in this friendly and comfortable hotel for four nights in June 2014. This hotel was part of our tour package and we added two extra nights to the two already included so we could take in more of the sights of this modern city. The staff were always very helpful and the room clean and...

Location can't be beat for a short stay in Vancouver. The rooms in the Corporate Tower have been renovated and have everything you need except a safe (free wifi, fridge, a/c, clean comfortable bedding). Make sure not to accept rooms near the elevator or stairway (1, 2, 7 & 8 are not quiet).

The provided a reasonably price stopover in Vancouver. It is a little out of town but it's walkable and it's right next to the BC Lions stadium. The water bus stops by the jetty there about 10 mins max walk away. The waterbus stops then at several points in town and eventually Granville Island with the super market. The sandman...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
