We took the Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver for a quick sightseeing trip. We took the SkyTrain from the Amtrak station to the Waterfront station and walked two blocks up to the hotel. We found the location perfectly centralized to all we wanted to see and do. The staff was helpful, we had our teenagers with us, our room was...

We arrived in Vancouver by train from Jasper- and hadn't done much research. We grabbed a map, went online and booked Days Inn Downtown via hotels.com - and what a great find. They allowed early check-in, room was fantastically spacious, comfortable, and good value. It's an older building, clean, and restored. The location was perfect for getting around - the...

This hotel is in the budget range. Room prices are priced higher than budget. It is an older hotel building some 80 years old that was refurbished at least 20 years ago. Good location a short walk from the attractions along the waterfront and Canada Place. A very small lift, and it is take your bags up to your room...

Days Inn historic building right downtown amongst the action for our last overnight and then back to UK. This old building has survived miraculously by some device amongst all the modern development just a few streets off the waterfront at Canada place and is well placed for everything you could want in the city. It is old so not luxurious...

Thank you very much for your review of our hotel, I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay in our nearly 100 year old hotel. Our location is amongst the very best in Vancouver that is for sure and while we may not be the most luxurious hotel we will always provide our guests with a clean...

The hotel was dated, the color scheme was depressing. For $180/night our first room had no vent/fan in the bathroom. Our window had a view of a wall and an extension ladder on its side. The window AC competed with the mini fridge for loudness. I bumped the AC slightly with the desk chair and the front fell off. The...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel, we are an older hotel and certainly in need of a refresher, we have had some work completed to date including the restoration of the original wood floors from 1918. We have more to do and will continue to work on improving guest satisfaction, we hope that you...

This is an older, historic hotel but well maintained and comfortable. The bed and pillows were great and the room was clean and quiet. The room and bathroom were a bit small, but we were not there much. Centrally located in the downtown area and an easy walk to the convention center, waterfront and cruise terminal. Only real problem is...

We stayed heer both before and after taking a cruise to Alaska. Both rooms we stayed in were in need of updating. The room for the second visit was quite small and the view from the window was a brick wall. The in room facilities included iron, ironing board, small fridge, coffee/tea making facilities and hair drier. We received a...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
