We booked a room with a queen bed. Arrived to find a double in a tiny, awkwardly configured room looking out onto a literal concrete wall. In fact, the room faced what appeared to be a completely enclosed concrete box. Apparently Canadian building codes allow you to box in the egress so people can die in a fire? Next time...

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review, I am sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us. The room you occupied does indeed have a queen bed, the only rooms that have Double sized beds are located on the front side of the building. As for the concrete wall, unfortunately we are...

Location is excellent for quick access to Canada Place (cruise terminal), rail transit system at Waterfront Station, & attractions downtown. This is a vintage hotel so expect a smallish room, but the daypass to the nearby Y offers great workout options. Staff were all extremely helpful & accommodating, ensuring I was comfortable & understood traffic & currency. This hotel is...

Thank you very much for the kind words, indeed our location is hard to beat, and with the high season now in full effect our location just gets better and better with so much that Vancouver has to offer all within walking distance, including free shuttles to Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain, Hop on Hop off tours departing regularly...

The room was tiny, but clean and comfortable and just fine for me. BUT the springs on the bed were super creaky and everytime i moved it creaked. I can live with it but it was soft and not firm. Business center was very user friendly and convenient. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide your review of our hotel, I am happy to hear that you had a mostly enjoyable stay with us. As we are a 100 year old building the hotel has gone through many changes over the years and the rooms have decreased in size as a result. Our smallest rooms...

The staff was very helpful and even got us into our room at least 4 hours earlier than the scheduled check-in time. The only downside was that our room smelled of stale mop water which never went away.

DO YOUR RESEARCH IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER!!! This hotel is a heritage building or at least 100 years old. There is no onsite parking or valet. We came via Sky-train, carry luggage and a last minute change occurred that the hotel accommodated us nicely. Had the 8th floor super large rooms. Original hardwood flooring, brand new bathroom,...

200.00 per night, room is 8x8, smelly and congested. Parking is two blocks away, they forget to tell you that parking validation starts only at noon and if you get there sooner then you have to pay an additional day.

Good day Sophia K, Sorry to hear that your stay with us was less than satisfactory, I would appreciate if you could reach out to me with some specifics of your stay so that I may investigate further. Would not recommend this Hotel anyone unless they only need a bed! First it takes an hour to check in because of having to unload your car , then proceed to the pay parking ($20 plus tax per night) lot 2 blocks away and make your way back by foot to the Hotel.Only to be put in a room with...

Thank you myladyt for your review, The hotel does advertise off site parking so guests know in advance of their stay that we do not have onsite parking, being a 100 year old building we simply do not have the option. Regarding the issues with the room I apologize, we have been working hard to improve the maintenance reporting in...

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
