We stayed here for two nights, it was a bit aquade to check in and there was a issue in the way we communicated to the host? The heating was confusing and we where unsure on how to operate. The B&B was nice and old looks great from the outside, the rooms are OK and the price is good, This...

Seems to be the practise to leave keys strapped to the front door! the room we stayed in was very clean with a good bed but a musty smell, the breakfast was very average, staff likewise, we were not impressed with the washer which was in a utility room close by being switched on at eight in the morning which...

When we arrived there was an envelope taped to the door with our name on it.Inside were the keys to our room and the code to open the front door. Not the best security for a guest house. The greeting we got from the house keeper was not very friendly, as she did not show us to our room just...

I am so sorry you had such an unpleasant experience on your one night stay with us this summer, we do leave entry information for our guests at the front door when we are busy cleaning ( or as I was when you arrived, eating my dinner) Our homes have open kitchens for use by the guests to make tea...

I am not usually a picky person, so I will start this review with the non negatives !!. You know you are going to be leaving SOON. The other one You DONT have to stay here. GOOD start. We drove down a lovely street to find the B&B on the right, so I pulled into the driveway (as I was...

I am so sorry you had an unpleasant one night stay with us. We endeavor to please all our guests, but sometimes appear to come up short with cold toast , limited parking and wrinkled carpets, we will try to improve for future guests, and appreciate your comments.

The staff were very good at accommodating us on short notice, the biggest problem is they are on booking dot com and as a local user it is too hard to get a room. We stayed due to family being in the Vancouver general hospital as the location is very convenient. We managed to get two rooms for one night...

First, I am what you call a "B& connoisseur", always staying in this type of accommodation for the opportunity to meet others and stay in a "home-like" atmosphere. This definitely fits that bill. You'll find your room key and information in an envelope taped to the door but, at most times, Leslie is there with a friendly hello and great...

We chose the Windsor Guest House for its location. Great access to the places we wanted to go! We stayed in the Henry Room (basement, twin beds). It was very small (open your suitcases on your bed, close them up again to store them so you can sleep)l but very reasonable as we were just ducking in to sleep and...

Very nice "family" atmosphere. Close to W. Broadway/ Mt. Pleasant area but a bit of a walk downtown. Great breakfast and friendly staff. No real check-in and no one there to greet us, but that is the family, informal atmosphere. Elizabeth room pleasant and has it's own bathroom. Plenty of restaurants and local shopping in easy walking distance.

The B&B is located in a nice area of Vancouver with good reach of Downtown. We stayed in a small but cosy room on the top floor. A small balcony allows for a good night drink including nice view over the city. Breakfast is well prepared by friendly staff. Supermarkets and coffee/restaurant chains are in foot reach.

This guest house is not bad at all. It's really charming and well kept. The location is pretty good, not too far from a metro station, just have to walk 5 or 10 minutes and you're there. It's near the city hall and the neighbourhood is very pretty. We were in a tiny room. We didn't like it that much...

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighbourhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
