I stayed at this hotel between Christmas and the New Year. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a good location and is also convenient for the hop on hop off bus and the quick shuttle bus to Seattle. Breakfast in the restuarant was reasonably priced and staff were friendly and attentive. Self-serve guest laundry was very...

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years, and returned for the third or fourth stay last October... and was politely reminded on checking-in that my last visit was in 2009. The 'welcome back' was indeed warm, given by the cheerful, professional and efficient reception staff. Here's why I returned: 1. The hotel is in a...

Location is the best aspect of this hotel. Staff was very nice, special attentions are given to the customer. Not all room are up to date. Some need to be renovated. If it is available, target the renovated ones, it make a big difference.

Stayed here for three nights in September 2016. Nice indoor pool. Room was standard Holiday Inn. The breakfast was very good although it was served in the lobby bar area which was not large enough to accomodate all the guests. Wait time was sometimes too long. Would recommend for it's location.

We stayed here recently and it was great. Rooms very clean and tidy, good facilities, good location. Nice friendly staff, would highly recommend if you are looking for a good value hotel, we were two families (13 in total) so needed a few rooms and it was very affordable and very good.

Clean rooms. Excellent staff, went above and beyond to get us in early and our room was very clean and the amenities were great. Restaurant has great breakfasts. Comfy beds. Super good spa! Hotel is older but starting renos and rooms are nice. Could use safes in rooms. Nice pool and fitness rooms open 24 hours. Super location in downtown.

I stayed at this establishment 15-20JAN17 whilst attending a training course which was held at the property. My first impression of check-in was great. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk receptionist who took care of my speedy check-in and answered all my questions about the surrounding area. I was assigned to room 417, a standard...

Good: Staff is friendly. Service lady did a good job in organizing our room. Price is very reasonable. The location is great, short walking distance to a lot of shopping streets. About 10min walk to metro station. Bad: But the soundproof is the worst. I can hear people talking next door n across our room. They don't change the bed...

The hotel is in a good location with easy parking. The bar seemed nice but we didn't have time to visit. The only reason I gave it less than five stars is because it needs to be updated. Clean, modest rooms.

I was on the seventh floor of this hotel. A vent into the room rumbled loudly all night long on the first night of my stay. I was late check in and tired so I went to bed quickly. I'd hoped the fan was perhaps something that was on as a result of the bathroom light. That it would shut...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
