My partner from Manila & I stayed for almost 2 weeks last June 2012. We stayed in three different rooms, (Peak room was the best for me). I'm glad we found this place as I felt the warm settings, as if I was just in my own home. From the staff service, courtesy, ambiance, the food, I can't ask for...

Barclay House B&B is a terrific place to stay while in Vancouver, B.C. It is a beautifully appointed home with approx. 5 or 6 private suites, common sitting and breakfast areas ( breakfast and info sharing conversations with other guests are of course included ), lots of brochures and local restaurant reviews on display, front porch with chairs and sofas,...

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Dennis' lovely B&B, The Barclay House. This victorian B&B is a gem in the West End of Vancouver -- walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Beautiful Stanley Park is 5 minute walk down the street. Our room, the Forest Room, was well-appointed with one of the most...

Last spring a close friend of mine invited me to stay at this worderful place in the heart of downtown, Vancouver. At first, I could not really imagine what kind of a house would i expect in one of the busiest places in Vancouver. Then I said, "okay let's see". When we arrived at the place, i told myself "this is...

Everything about Barclay House B & B was perfect. We felt so welcomed and comfortable. The attention to detail was everywhere. We were welcomed by beautiful gardens and an inviting porch. When you enter the house, it's clean and decorated beautifully with quiet background music and the scent of fresh flowers. Our room was above our expectations with so many...

Nice location in a lovely street and accessible to Stanley Park, English Bay, Downtown - in fact most places you would want to visit in Vancouver. Rooms were very pleasant, and breakfast was good. Dennis was very helpful with information and advice and very accommodating when we had an early start one morning. Would not hesitate to go back to...

We stayed in the Haidaway Room, which is more an apartment than a room, with a private entrance, sitting area and a jacuzzi. Everything is very clean and very nice decorated. The B&B is located within short walking distance to Robson Street and the rest of downtown Vancouver. Stanley Park can be reached easily. It is a quiet place although...

We recently stayed at Barclay House hotel for four days over a period of three weeks (at the start and end of our holiday), the accommodation was elegant, clean and comfortable. On each occasion we had the Beech room at the front of the house overlooking a beautiful tree lined street, walking distance from shopping areas, English Bay and Stanley...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.

Hello,

Barclay House B&B and the Barclay Hotel are two different hotel and locations. Taxi is the fastest and more convenient to our place. My question is? Have you made your reservation yet? Our September month is almost full. Cheers.

Our parking is just behind the house not on the street. It's private and safe parking for free.
