Relax on your verandah and watch the water-world go by, or enjoy the city lights in the evening. Away from the madding crowds of the city and a short walk to the fabulous markets, eateries and buskers. Staying here was a real holiday. Sound-proofing could have been better and this is expensive, but I think it was worth it.

I really enjoyed staying onsite at Granville Island. It was really handy to all the great shopping, eating and entertaining providing the option to pop back for a break. I would recommend the Granville Island Hotel if you truly want to be immersed in the experience.

The Granville Island Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to Emily Carr U and Granville Island shopping and dining. Excellent views of the city, sail boats, and waterscapes. I have said it all.

Attending a wedding on Granville Island. This hotel was reccommended and met all of our needs and those of other wedding attendees with ease. Great location, well maintained and appointed facilities, great service and comfortable accommodation. Would recommend to a friend.

My room was 206 and had a charming view of the marina. The bed was very comfortable. I could hear the guests above me walking at night, which I thought was odd. But I use ear plugs so it wasn't a problem.

Out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver but in the heart of Granville Island and its unique offerings. Nestled near a park and marina so it's also a great place to just relax. The traffic in the area can be a bit off-putting but the hotel valet will take care of parking your car which is a great...

Very nice hotel well located for experiencing Vancouver. The shopping, dining and entertainment selections on the island are excellent and the city is easy to reach from Granville Island. This was a return trip and we hope to stay the next time in Vancouver.

A repeat stay at the GI Hotel and was again pleased with my choice. Excellent service from the staff. Hotel is ideally located to enjoy Granville Island and False Creek. Used the False Creek ferries to commute to work each day.

Though only minutes by car, walk-on ferry or public transport from downtown Vancouver, the unique industrial tourism destination of Granville Island is in an urban bubble of its own. I never tire of watching the mini-ferries, sail boats and dragon boat racers practically within touching distance nor of strolling the quiet, quaint streets of this former industrial hub, celebrating its...

We had family over at our place nearby, so we decided to treat outlrselves to a night away from home and give up our own beds. My wife and I had a lovely dinner by the water in the restaurant. We then returned home to fetch our son. And despite all sleeping in a king size bed, we actually had...

Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere.
