I spent a few days in Vancouver and surrounds and needed to stay somewhere when returning from Whistler, before heading to my next destination. My son was staying with his friend on a couch, meaning I would need a hotel or similar, so we needed somewhere...More
From the airport, take the Canada Line train to City Centre for $9/person. It takes about 26 min. Exit City Centre and walk 2 blocks to the Kingston. My husband and I spent 3 wonderful evenings on the 2nd floor overlooking the associated patio bar....More
Great location for downtown, especially the sport venues, BC Place and Rogers Arena. I selected a single bed, on a floor with a shared restroom/washroom, so the size of the room, while small, was good enough for the solo traveler that I am. Because its...More
We did a last minute trip to Vancouver on a Saturday. The room was a decent price and next door there is a parking garage with secured parking which is about 20 dollars. Our double room was small, clean and simple. The pillows were great,...More
We were looking for a last minute hotel for the weekend that didn't cost an arm and a leg. For an overnight stay this hotel was fine, it ticked all the boxes for what we needed and most notably the location was great. The good...More
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also
popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.

The rooms I've stayed in both times I was there were the same. They are small rooms but ample for one person. There is the bed, desk and chair. There is a mirror and a sink in room. The shared bathrooms are just down the hall plus there are some on other floors. I never had a time I had to wait. I personally was never bothered by construction noise. It is an older hotel so no air conditioning but there is a fan and the window does open. It was fine for me and I was there in August. There are many little alcoves with comfy chairs around the place if you want to sit and read. Staff are extremely helpful. My room didn't have a tv. Not sure what the bigger rooms are like. It is so central to everything. The morning continental is adequate. Toast or bagel, juice, coffee, tea. Not sure what else. I hope this helps.
